i have noticed in the past and again today that this was happening.

.... I don't think that moderating is about wielding a big stick or being a Nazi. I think it is more about helping the forum or individual threads to stay on track and encouraging people to play fair. Weeding out things like personal abuse has got to be positive. It is easy to hide behind an avatar and wound people, but that's just not cricket...

Is it getting easier, you must remember I have only sorted about 20% of threads, and yes some will be mixed up. If a parlour becomes and advertiser we can unsort the merges to give them the original threads back as content for their sub forums.

if this doesn't work then comeback here and write a post explaining what happens when you click on your user name .

I have been downgraded back to silver from gold are you head honchos getting like the casino when you go quiet you loose your privileges and get downgraded.
There must be a reason for this, all that being said it will not be long I will just start talking shit again to get back to my rightful position.

I would say it is after they delete a thread, especially a large one.

Ahoy I lost over 1000, but, I am OK with it.
Life is full of Change, including Forum changes, which have been great-improvements
If you are not aware all the Porn Threads where deleted and on those threads there were 1000&1000 of post.
Locoman i suspect you will hear from a higher authority, soon.
I am sure a satisfactory result will occur, just give us some time.

In the recent past many old, obsolete, porn, and other posts of it's sort was cleaned out and deleted by Mary-Anne which was necessary.

In doing so many comments by members which were post counts may be deleted with such threads. For example ....8000+ porn posts were deleted in many threads. This will have reduced the post counts of many members and contributed to these happenings.

i think it was just overlooked and it was not really intended to retrospectively downgrade our statuses. I hope all members concerned have been reinstated now!

when there are upgrades to any company software there will be some problems when this is being done and they will not come to light until the upgrade is complete and then when a member like yourselves notice something is not right and then you notify the management team , for rectification

all id good for the future and if you find another problem please advise the team with as much detail as you can including links if possible .

Whilst I have expressed dissatisfaction with a few changes of late, I'm very pleased all the "porn threads" have been removed and hope they never return.

IMO This site is for conversation - if you want porn just google it.

I'm not too fussed about the naughty photos having disappeared (though some of the soft-core threads like Beach Babes will be sorely missed ), but I'm sure some priceless XLNC zingers were lost in the purge as well. Talk about throwing out the babies with the bath water.

I'm just thinking of the irrevocable loss to human history and culture. Honestly, this forum should have been heritage-listed after I achieved Legend status. Gold even.

Anyway, I'll try and recycle them on surviving or new threads so they can be preserved for posterity... if I can remember any of them.
