New Covid Rules

Here’s another one I’d like people to chime in on. Say brothels that are bigger and more reputable now required people to sign in or check in with an app. If one is married or of social high standing, there’s a can of worms if contact tracers reveal all the visited locations.

If people are required to do that, would many of the gentlemen just rather not go?

That’s already the case, you’re supposed to be scanning the QR code or signing the register already. But no one is enforcing it. I think I’ve been asked once to scan the code since this whole thing started and I did it cos I don’t really care if anyone knows I was there but it is pretty easy to put a fake name and number if you’re really worried about it.

It would be awkward if any venue becomes a hotspot. Especially if a married punter is tested positive and has checked into a be of these places

If you've used a fake name it's fine, they publish the hotspots anyway so if you know you've been there just say you were at a different hotspot or make something else up.. easy

I mean pretty soon COVID will be everywhere anyway so it won't matter about contact tracing. NSW and VIC aren't even doing it anymore

sorry ... did anyone say about what will happen to brothels and massage parlours when Covid are in the community once the border opens ? the girls must be worried with all sorts of people coming and going ... and the punters must be worried if the girls are infectious ... do we just put our hands up and say .. it is all too hard .. all to themselves ?

I'm sure we in WA can get feedback of what the situation is like in other states and territories. E.g. Langtrees in Canberra, punters attending AMPS, etc

It is illegal to provide a fake name and number.

the girls must be worried

My favourite say's she will stop work, Yes she is afraid of the potential outcome.

They need to keep the boarders SHUT IMO and I don't care who object's to my opinion

I didn't have any side effects. But the way things are now, we probably shouldn't have bothered.
Due to the incompetence of a number of " leaders" we are in a worse position than we were 12 months ago.

March will bring about a massive change of government in this country.

I guess in a way WA has the opportunity of hindsight by what is currently happening in other states.

However, it still doesn't make it easier to know how best to move forward. Yes, we could push back reopening the borders until things are more under control in the other states. The numbers could come down, but even then once we get cases in WA in the hundreds it will spike up dramatically

Agreed. I did write at the beginning of this chain to raise exactly this. How are the girls going to protect themselves from an airborn virus, often in a small room, limited air flow and for an hour or more close contact with a client.
As said before, my favourite WL is leaving the industry once the boarders open, as she doesn’t want to expose herself and the consequently her family.
She can afford to leave. Aussie Citizen, house paid off, upgrading her English at Tafe. So good prospects for employment elsewhere. Other WL may not be in such fortunate circumstances.

How do we protect them…

😁I lay flat like Lemonade starfish on my bed today with a shoulder and back sore pain . lemon sore pain🍋 Losing my appetite, I just ate some Haagen-Dazs strawberry ice cream 🍦 , hoping to get better the day after tomorrow.🥺🥺🥺

Almost the exactly the same as me on the weekend, except my icecream was chocolate.

And plus normal day for me, as I hadn't just had the jab (had it few weeks ago)

This is something we punters have been dealing with for two years, minus closure times.
I doubt any of us would feel comfortable using QR codes to check in. That leaves a digital record and we are well aware that although the Police said they would not access these records, they did. They lied.

So, on those occasions where I have been asked to check in, I have chosen to check in manually, leaving a name and a number.
I know where I have been, so any published hotspots will be public knowledge and I can respond accordingly.

Obviously most of our WAGs would not react well to a phone call or knock on the door, so a high degree of diligence is required.

If WA and Omicron turn into a shitshow, then it is fair to assume, or at least suspect, that visiting our beautiful ladies will carry a potential risk and we must consider carefully our options.

I will continue working.. I'm vaccinated.. my whole family are vaccinated.. My elderly relatives live overseas and have had covid already.

I guess it's the same as seeing a hair dresser, beautician, dentist, doctor, optician etc everyone gets within 1.5m of your personal space.

Im not concerned about covid I'm more concerned about how it's dividing us all :(

Unfortunately, even if you are vaxxed .. everyone's body will react differently. Last week, a guy in his 20s died, double vaxxed and no underlying health issues. If you look at NSW for instance, there are still a big number of ppl in hospital n icu even for vaxxed individuals.

Went to dentist recently, it is most vulnerable position with mouth open the whole time. The dentist did say it is causing havoc in NSW/VIC because dentist have to shut when the patrons are found to be infectious after the fact.

What will you do if you are infected n get reinfected ? Will you have to isolate and not work ?

Absolutely brilliant post and reply. You see through the bullshit to focus on not the cause, but on the symptom.

The division is profound, with both sides, if there were only two, believing they have the right to force their opinion onto others and bend or beat them to their will.

I have lost friends, peers and associates through this. I am made to feel totally unwelcome in some circles; both private and business.
I can well understand why some suffer depression and even worse.

Before anyone says "well, get the jabs", don't.
Be part of the solution; not part of the problem.

AmeliaKennedy, please let me ask you a question: Do you or are you willing to see unvaccinated clients?

If I get covid I would 100% do the right thing and isolate and not work I would never continue to work with covid like any profession. It is in my best interests and everyone else's for me to do the right thing.

We can't live with this fear forever we need to learn to live with it somehow, it's already affected our lives for the last two years and its not even been here! What are we supposed to do? Wrap ourselves in cotton wool and pray it goes away? Because it doesn't seem to be... its one strain to the next.

I don't have the answers nobody does but like I said in my previous post the worst part is this new divide, the judgements & the conflict, its madness!

This was a hard question for me to answer. At this stage I am not asking if people are vaccinated however if it became the law that all small businesses had to see the vaccination certificate I would have to ask as I like to ensure I'm above board and doing the right thing, being ABN registered etc I would not want to get fined.

The last 2 years have been heaven and "freedom" for us here in WA ... yes we cannot travel but we have no restriction and virtually no disruption in businesses (except tourism to certain extend) and normality to our social and working life. soon .. it will be disruptions .. it will be chaos .. it will be havoc. If we complain about the last 2 years ... well ... there will be nothing in comparison when we open soon .. the complains will be longer than the eye can see. Everyone will be impacted and it will be countless.

Yes, we have to move on ... but what has been proposed by the government is "open slather" which is not right. There should be some restrictions and be proactive and not be reactive (like the rest of the world and eastern states). This is to minimise disruptions for everyone.

The only thing missing the last 2 years is "travel" .. incoming and outgoing ... so let people come in and let people travel out .. but impose double vax and quarantine in a designated location for x days. Mask need to be mandatory ... we see NSW/VIC now revert back to mask being mandatory but its too late ... should have done it from the start when the numbers are low to control the spread etc.

Hopefully everyone act responsibly and safely. Just brace yourself.

Not interested in vax or unvax or pro-choice argument.

Hopefully we have learnt from their mistakes and I 100% agree with when we open having certain policies in place.
