Hmmmm mmmmm mmmmm .....

This weekend I visited a small number of wineries in the swan valley, the wines weren't really to my liking however, the experience was still enjoyable. Then next a visit to Mash Brewery, this was a fun, busy, poor serviced venue and finally the Margaret River Chocolate factory (in the Swan Valley?).

Any how .... why have I, a self confessed chocoholic, not known about the divine truffles at the Margaret River Chocolate factory?

Just wondering if there are any other sweet treats in Perth I should know about whilst I am here?

Would it be too corny to say "...me"?

Yes?

Well, there I said it anyway. Do we take the last line of your post to mean you're leaving sometime soon Ms.Silk?

If you like wine, ssb and chards and perhaps cab sauv from down south, the rest are crap.
shiraz from the 3 main regions in SA and maybe some sb from NZ.

If you are ever touring Up near Geraldton people are surprised to
find a decent winery in the Chapman Valley They have a good BBQ area and meat salad packs etc This time of year You see the wildflowers (Best season in 10yrs) BBQ a nice steak sip on some surprisingly decent wine (Theyvé won some medals recently)Then get home somehow

Go, Saige (I can dig it)!

I think it's fantastic that you all feel as though you've a healthy relationship to what you do. I worked (briefly) in the industry in London though, and I’ve got to say, even though I worked in an environment I considered generally not too unhealthy, two of the three women I got to know were… well, a bit screwed up to be honest. One of them was being screwed (by a boyfriend-turned pimp); two had fled Kosovo and all three were struggling against global economic injustice (which is a bit like being screwed, yeah?).

I felt for ‘em.

I know, people are screwy (and being screwed) all over, but that’s not what I’m curious about. My thought’s are on the sex industry.

Two ex’s of mine have been involved. One, a small club stripper, had fun, made a few bucks, but came out of it, she said “a lil’ disturbed by constant exposure to the uglier side of male sexuality”. And the other, I’m not too sure, she worked as a high-end escort in London and seems okay with it. She had fun, though she reckons that at in hindsight, she’d probably say that her motivations weren’t purely healthy.

So what’s the go? Are these stereotypes we’ve all heard about not the norm? And for those that do have a hard time, how does the industry, the community, respond? If at all….

- T.L.

PS I’ not just bein’ a smartarse, I promise! And you’ll find no unreasonable (or un-informed) judgements, here. :). I’m a simply curious....

Life is what you make of it. I love what I do and enjoy it very much.
This is a different world though, like going to planet sex and sexy. A raunchy, glittery, home where I can be myself and people accept me for who I am. The same for the men. They can be themselves, explore there desires and fantasies with women who are more than grateful to full fill their needs.

Thanks for all the wonderful suggestions.
Trinco; I'm not terribly into candy. However, I have tasted and enjoyed the ROC candy.
Greenfield I have most definitely drunk all over Australia. Yes, I agree with your wine suggestions
Happy; not really sure Geraldton is my suit of place. However, I will keep it in mind should I choose to venture to that part of the world.
709394; thank you for the Coco Black's suggestion. Will try this out next week and report back.
Weepingeye; not be concerned I will be here for another 6 months. Then I'm off overseas. Plenty of time to see me.

Hi Alex,

If you are a chocoholic there is a new place in James St Northbridge near the corner of Lake St which offers Spanish doughnuts (straight ones) which are dipped in liquid chocolate like a fondue and various other chocolate treats.

I always slow down as I pass the doorway just for a good sniff.

I am in love with those doughnuts....they are ALMOST better then sex...infact when I had my first time I think I squirted a bit :)

Hi Silk.

Sweets could include pastry, so if you are in to the bestest Rhubarb and Berry pies, try here;

The Pearl Of Highgate
189 Lincoln St
Highgate, WA 6003

I have the occasional sunday session with my special lady and take one of these.
Combined with Double thickened cream it is orgasmic (well the fun with the left over cream may be).

They have other yummy pastry as well.

What about Coricas in northbridge?

If you go to Corica I'd definitely recommend their apple strudel.
Casa Del Dolce is quite good - cakes (NB), As is Jean Pierre Sancho - pastry, macaroon tower...

Personally I'm a chocoholic, so places like Theobroma, San Churros and Koko Black are places I visit quite often.

Hi All

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of working with fellow forum member (Photoreal). A few of the photos from our time together have been uploaded to my profile. There are still more photos to come, I will upload 2 new ones each week.

Photoreal is new to portrait photography. Previously landscape photography was is preferred choice. Photoreal and I would be very interested in everyone's thoughts on the photos.
