Ah1 I just checked my "West" and I couldn't find it either - it may have been in the "Vincent Voice" local rag but the thrust (?) of it was that the Council was going after them under its health and zoning powers. I would be a bit concerned but chances are if they do move it will involve serving papers on the owners rather than kicking down the doors and yelling "everybody out".

Too right about the Libs, and, sadly the same goes for Labor too. There are far too many ultra-right religious nutters in State and federal Parliament these days and it really gets up my nose. Church membership has been declining for years as education replaces superstition but still we have this third column trying to control us via laws based on religious teachings.

We need a few more like dear Julia who are not afraid to "come out" as athiests.

Thanks Svengali.

Front page of today's "West" says "put religion back into classrooms". Of course, what they mean is christianity - I can't see them endorsing islam or hinduism! Personally, I think religious beliefs cause more of the world's problems than they solve, but we won't go there. And often the louder people profess to be "holier than thou" the more dirty little secrets they have to hide.

....imagine what the world could have been like if the Middle East had been the scene of total devastation 4000 years ago......no christianity, islam or judaism.

Yes fudd there has been issues with those three but look what they replaced.

With the mistrust/hatred between moslem and Jew Who remembers the lyrics from WA's Tim Minchin?
Ïf you dont eat pork, and we dont eat pork.
Then lets not eat Together"

Are any service providers, either private or professional, offering discounts to members of the Australian Sex Party (I am one, and proudly so)?

Support the party that supports the industry is my belief.

I suppose I should have asked this before seeing Saige yesterday... D'oh...

I would think if you can get elected under the Sex Party banner there may be some support from Aussey WLs.

..I think that the problem for this party really making a statement on Australia's electoral map is it's name. Given that anecdotal evidence suggests that most people never even review a party's platform (policies) when casting their votes, I would doubt that the ASP would garner significant support in the long term as voters may think that they are just a 1 issue party.

Looking through the ASP's website, their policies are somewhat broader than just sex - Link is broken so has been taken down. Whilst I applaud the ASP's stance on these issues (mind you, though, some may not have been thought through well), I think that they would do well to consider re-branding their name to something that better captures its policies.

Fudd :)

I think they are full of shit...I read the policies too Fudd and I thought it came across as a joke and aimed at people with no brains....

SORRY Cherry Blossom...I know you have brains but the rest of them:love10:

This little gem from the ASP is going to blow the local WLs out of the water.

Abolish sex slavery and sexual servitude by introducing non morality-based immigration policies that allow bona-fide sex workers to work legally in Australia.

Abolish sex slavery and sexual servitude etc etc...

...as I said in earlier post, this is one of those policies they could have thought through a bit better because the first part of this policy (ie, as above) is already illegal.

It's pretty easy for small parties / independents to come up with wild policies because they'll probably never get a chance to voice them in parliament.

I liked the bit about no drug sniffer dogs allowed in public
I guess the Guide dogs association could train them Get blind police officers to handle them
As guide dogs are allowed everywhere

Yes Fudd its a contradiction with odious consequences.
1 girls would still be recruited , loaded up with personal loan and sent to Aus, with a WL 457 visa.

2 Aussy WLs would be swamped with cheep competition from all over the world .

......I dont know if I totally agree with point 1, FB.

In my opinion, the last thing organised crime gangs would want to do would be to have their "slaves" on some government register (ie, visas). The fact that they already entrap/coerce foreign girls into this industry and that this practice is not being fully policed is currently working for them. So, applying for a 457 visa would only bring attention to themselves for no extra benefit.

Whilst there are those in our soceity who, by their actions, encourage this odious trade, ie by wanting BBBJs, unprotected sex etc and will only pay a pittance, the demand will always be there. As such, it would appear to me that there would be no added benefit in going down the 457 visa path.

We can legislate until the cows come home (no pun intended FB...lol), but if we truely wanted to see the back end of this disgusting trade, cut off demand. But I suspect that it would be easier to win lotto than for this to occur.

Fudd :)

Slavery is actually inefficient Fudd self-motivated sub contractors , tenet farmers , piece workers get things done , my point is a professionally WL paying of a lone may be a good bet for a Asian or East European Businessman .

The government have many tools to help root out the dark and vicious side of the sex trade But are not interested
To make grand gestures is far easier And the religious minority can sleep easy knowing they have done there bit to make the world better While the underbelly style of exploitation carries on unabated

....in principle I would agree FB......however, the possibility of a bullet to the head of an entrapped WL's family member back home may also act as a good motivator too.

Exactly Fudd thus demonstrating a unintended consequence of ASP policies.

That is true, as is discrimination. [Reference: Gary Becker "Economics of Discrimination" 1957 (University of Chicago) - South African apartheid was studied - both whites and blacks worse off. Nobel Prize for Economics 1992

But people do not follow what is efficient, but their biases or prejudices. :nono:

If you would like to book a 3 hour or longer appointment I would happily drive to Bunbury to see you.
Otherwise I believe Porshia who advertises on Cracker is in Bunbury most weeks.
