Alecia... Please understand that I am looking at both sides of the coin.

I agree that the customer lies as well, maybe even more then the W/L.
I guess in the line of customer service we all tend to tell little lies.
I don`t even watch football but have had to read some about it just to talk to some customers and gone to a few bars to drink even though I`m not really a drinker to try and help them relax.
If I`m asked by a W/L my name I do give my real name but only the first, my surname is not needed to be known.
Agree your private life is none of our business and if asked your entitled to tell only what you choose to.

I asked once if it was ok to lie to help your family and some said no...

However, take this situation - World War 2, Holland, Nazi occupation, a family is hiding a family of Jewish people in their attic, or wherever, in their house. A Nazi soldier is asking everyone if they know where any Jews are hiding. Is it wrong for the family to "lie" about the Jewish family living in their house, to avoid the family and themselves being killed?

You have to remember, in this industry, shit can and does happen, and if shit does go down, your family can get targeted. Better to have everyone involved in the industry thinking you don't have one, for your family's own protection. I also have strong feelings about working girls disclosing details about their children on forums such as this. I think it is inappropriate for the reasons I have just stated.

So, if I had children, or family of any sort, I would not be letting anyone in the industry know about them. Better to be safe than sorry. So yeah, if a client asked me what I had been doing on the weekend and I had been doing family oriented stuff, I would "lie" about it.

An so unture maybe some but not all cases are like that, my partner noes what i do he lets me do it and okay with it but yes he would rther me not if the decission was his.
