It is highly recommended to inform everyone you have had sex with. I do not know whether it is a legal requirement to do so though.
But to be fair in them they should be informed. Some people do not show symptoms.
 
Absolutely tell them otherwise it will keep spreading! It is a easily spread STI.

I have never had it *touch wood* but before I done this my ex caught it and I had to go and have have injection in my butt just incase because he didn't know how long he had it but I never got diagnosed I just didn't want to risk it! I have regular testing and I haven't had any BUT If I did I would want to know!!

BTW the Injection does make your bum hurt abit just a heads up!

can you get away from not having sex and get on the antibiotics for the 10 days till it clears then have another test just to be sure alls good?

Have you actually been properly tested and have a confirmed infection or are you self diagnosing from symptoms?
Your OP doesn’t really make that clear?

I wouldn't be using any old antibiotic there are certain ones for certain infections and if you just assume you've treated it your going to end up spreading it. Please go to a doctor and get the right diagnosis and meds
