the girls keep 100% of the "tips". On a 30 min job it is normally 27.50 house, 12.50 girl, so if she does say a $50 nude/topless HJ she gets a total of $62.50, so if she is flat out she could earn $125 ph. More for better extras too. That explains why they are happy to wait all day for you

What Ampmassageboy says.

IME the girls look at each day as a whole. So, they're not too bothered waiting an hour or even two to get a customer if the day overall pays well.

But the pressure is really on the owners/operators. If they can't bring in the customers then those girls who can will walk pretty fast. Makes sense really. Who wants to work 1-2-3-4 days worth of 12 hours shifts to only gain 2 or 3 30 minute 'normal' massages and make $50 bucks a day?

Its an interesting game this AMP. I'm only an infrequent customer as I prefer private FS places, but occasionally I'll pop in to one if I'm not sure what I really want - I mean at minimum I'll get a nice (usually) nude massage and how bad can that be?

But the interesting thing I find is that it appears to me that with AMP its not necessarily the girls who might offer FS who become the most popular .. which is sort of against my initial thoughts .. but I guess it makes sense. Those customers who really want FS go to a proper FS shop. Those who want a regular massage go to a regular massage shop ... theres this sort of niche in between which is where the AMP's live and the girls who work them sort of balance on a tight rope a bit

I was in a full service AMP on a Sunday morning earlier this year. The young lady had a notebook on a side table and while I was undressing she made an entry for me indicating the time of day and the amount. I was her third customer that day and I was finished and gone just before noon.
The previous day she had 8 or 10 clients which seemed to be typical of a good day. I got this information from a quick glance in poor lighting as I didn't want to wind her up by putting on my reading glases and asking for a torch.
I have always wondered what the owners typically pay in rent for suitable premises, the overheads must be fairly high.

A typical 1 hour booking costs $70 of which $45 goes to the shop & the girl gets $25. The girl keeps all of the extras or tips.
Most girls at the shops that I frequent see on an average 5 to 6 clients per day but they are complaining that the market is slow at the moment so some days are down to 2 or 3.
Welcome to Perth.

It
A person starts forums titled "recruitment" and one regarding what money the girls get?????????

I am curious how it all works, as a business person myself.

I am suprised the owners make enough to cover overheads given the number of competitors (other AMPs) and the number of customers a day.

I can see that the girls can make sufficient money but the owners must sleep/live at the venues to make it all work - unless I am missing something?

I don' think it would be expensive to set up a massage parlour.
The only investment cost involved would be the renovation of the rented premise.
The massage joint still basically relies on the girls to make the $$$.

so you spend 15k fixing the place up with some walls, beds etc etc, open the door and 2 days later the council guy comes in and closes you down

I'm the same as you. A businessman who can't help but turn the numbers in my head whenever I enter a new business ... including AMP's I might visit.

Estimate numbers just don't stack up in my head. Rent, outgoings, insurance, equipment (you know, beds, whatnot), and we've not even scratched the surface of employee on costs ... I know they are all working day-pay casual, but various government departments will still want to see whats what on the books.

On the other hand, most are essentially cash businesses, even those that actually take cards. My guess is that almost all transactions are cash (and therefore untraceable). Theres probably opportunity right there - but enough said.

only so much cash you can lose week in week out unless your buying something big or illegal that questions won't be asked

Let's do some math.

Most AMPs open for 10-12 hours daily, let's use 10 to make the math easier.

And say $70 per hour they take 50% = $35

Two girls working 10 hour shift average say 6 hours for the day @$35 = $210

That's $1,470 a week to the business for two girls averaging 6 hours.

I have been told by the girls on several occasions the boss owns two or three places.

The more successful places have 3 or 4 girls working and I suspect they would average 8 hours.

I wouldn't be surprised the owners have other sources for funds they help cover initial set up costs.

Somehow I don't think a landlord will care too much what goes one, so long as the rent gets paid.

The landlord may get "special bonus" once in a while.

If there wasn't money to be made they would n't exist.

hmmmm retirement fund?

210 less get = 191
less electricity, rent, outgoings, excess water, phone, internet, washing consumables, advertising etc etc
should make the same as an aussie pension

As long as they stay in positive territory then they're doing ok. There are many various businesses that are hemorrhaging at the moment. So it's better to be 10 bucks up per week instead of 200 bucks out of pocket.
PS. I know these businesses are out of scope from this thread's purpose.

When I had a massage with Lola less than a week before she left she told me that between TBC and Harmony massage that her Mother in law ran took in 65 clients the day before which would have been a Wednesday. Mind you back then TBC And Harmony had good quality girls.

So you can do the sums if you want.

Trick is for the owner to have good quality girls that do a good service and that way owner massage girl and client come out in front.

But not much of that these days.
