Yep nothing like having a drink in your hand doing the walk of shame after a session.
Just be sure to remove from the car as the mates may get asking about the halve fulled bottles of water in the car. ;)

It's not new legislation - some cyber safety experts suggested that people opening social media accounts in Australia would need to do the '100 point check' (like you do for opening a bank account) to protect vulnerable people. A government spokesperson said they would look into the suggestion but there certainly no legislation drafted. It's still a suggestion.

I can't see this being a problem at all.

At this stage it's simply a verification process. However if it does get more intricate i'm sure provisions will be made to protect the identity of select groups. Just like Working Ladies can apply for a restricted ABN (in order to protect their real name / suburb location etc), I imagine there'll be something similar.

It's not going to happen (forcing Australian users to provide 100 points of ID in order to register for a social network). It's frankly a ridiculous request.

The trolls (the people this is supposed to stop) will just get a VPN, pretend they're from overseas and then create as many troll accounts as they like.

Politicians have zero understanding of the IT world, it's laughable that they think these social networks will give in to their demands and even more laughable to think that people won't be able to find ways around it.

G'day people. My question is about, why some ladies will not reply too private/unknown numbers?
It gives the ladies a layer of protection. In Australia people have to prove their identity to get a phone number. If you turn out to be a psycho, they have something to give the cops to track you down with. Also, if you're blacklisted or barred by a woman/establishment, you can't just hide your number and make a booking.

100% agree with the comments.
However I accept SMS only. I don't want to discuss what services I offer whilst walking around or in the shops lol and I find personally the ones that call are usually way more in depth and haven't read my profile they want me to rattle off every service I offer and then don't book anyway.

With my personal phone I never answer private numbers though usually spam or sales calls.

As Josh said it simply adds an extra layer of protection.

We discreetly screen every number before sending a girl out on an escort. On the rare occasion that there is an issue we log that number on our database to make sure we don't send our ladies out to them.

Plus it helps with continuity of conversation. You can see past calls / conversations with a displayed number.

Many sex workers place a 'no private numbers' disclaimer on their ad, but I think you'll find that even if they don't say it, the vast majority will ignore your call. Why don't you try it next time and see if you they pick up the phone?

Would you accept calls from a private number if you were a sex worker? I'm guessing the answer is no, so why bother asking it?

100% for safety 1st. Then all the other reasons everyone else has said. But again safety most importantly. If a lady is attacked there is no way to track said client. The lady is going to share intimacy with you, so sharing your number with her makes good sense :)
