I totally agree with fines for illegal use of mobile phones by drivers. Nothing shits me more than seeing some clown trying to discreetly text with their phone on their lap. No way can they be 100% concentrating on the road.
But now this talk of fining drivers whose passengers are using their phones.....that's revenue raising.
Truckies are not above the law. If they need to use a phone it must be in a phone cradle same as with cars. But truckies regularly are holding onto the handpiece of their UHF radio talking to other truckies about all manner of things but importantly about hazards ahead on the road which can be seen as a safety feature.....allowing a driver to slow down if required.
Also trucks and pilot (escort) vehicles moving oversize loads are required by their permit to have 2 way (UHF) communication in all their vehicles.

2-way radios are exempt of course, and as a user of CB radio from way back and extensive use of UHF radio, it's strange how the 2-way radio doesn't seem to distract as much as the mobile.
even though your are basically doing the same thing, talking to other people.
i still have a uhf fitted, very handy sometimes.

Which report?
I would not be at all surprised if massage parlours, brothels, rub & tugs etc will fall under the umbrella of government enforced shutdown of schools, public transport, sporting events, concerts, festivals, restaurants, pubs, movie theatres, places of worship, shopping centres etc etc etc which will be in place well before the end of the month.

Just to add gus2012's post....Do not touch the masseuse or feel her in anyway without her CONSENT!! This is very important not only on the massage table but in general....Your #wantto can turn to her #metoo and you will be in lot of trouble...
More than anything it's a sign of respect....treat them well and you shall be treated well in return!!

That's why you get their details so you can see them privately then

Good day,

Anyone knows where can find an amp girl or private who has great oral skills?
Missing Amy in Asian Beauty but haven’t seen her for a while, CIM with her a blast...

The good old place behind the bike shop.... From what I hear that place has gone down hill and gone down hill very fast.... I heard its very quiet there these days for some odd reason... and The place near by now closes at midnite..... hmmmm next best thing in the area is Ada Rose but you need to put your hand deeper into your pocket.. but good luck!

The problem with fines is that they do not hit everyone equally. $500 would be a minor annoyance to a C.E.O. on $100k a year but a disaster for a single mum or pensioner. Fines based on income would be fairer.

Which is why the introduced the demerit point system... UK on the Motorways where there is no variable speed limits and no cameras, just sit on 99mph.... PerfectO

I am pretty certain there are both variable speed limits and speed cameras on motorways. Variable limits are displayed when an incident has occurred and I believe there are speed cameras to enforce that.

WA road traffic code 2000-
264. Use of visual display units etc. in vehicle
(1) A driver shall not drive a motor vehicle that has a television
receiver or visual display unit in or on the vehicle operating
while the vehicle is moving, or is stationary but not parked, if
any part of the image on the screen —
(a) is visible to the driver from the normal driving position;
or
(b) is likely to distract another driver.
Points: 3 Modified penalty: 6 PU
So if I'm behind a car that has monitors on the back passenger seats could I be fined if I watch what they're watching? At the traffic lights I sometimes see what people are watching or playing.

I agree, mobile are more visual than a CB, I have heard stories of accidents where a person was on their CB and was distracted... Grey area..

again, tell that to the parents of the dead girl mentioned in this thread.
if truckies are not using properly installed devices to enable them to keep in contact and make the day go along better, then they should be fined more.
anyone driving a 20 ton truck using a mobile and texting deserves no sympathy at all.
i agree about eating, this action seems to take take zero concentration from driving, while the mobiles totally distract people.
apparently, in WA, 100% of all speed and red light camera fines go into a road safety fund RTTF.
what actually happens to this money is not clear to me.
Then you have smoking.. I smoke in my car(the shame nowadays) and wonder if that's another factor to add to the equation..?

I hired a car a couple of weeks ago and the tech installed was pretty amazing.. Trouble one was that it was onscreen and front dash.. I found it very distracting trying to figure out all the tech.. Another thing was the auto lane correcting when driving.. The auto lane correct would make the car move left away from the right(curd and markings) and steer me left.. Scared the Sh#t out of me.. Had to fight it trying to say you're too close to the right inside lane..

Without Trucks Australia Stops..

So to any truckies on this thread , keep those wheels a rolling...

Exactly. A lot of people who condemn truckies know nothing about the industry and how hard it is to make a living from.

Being a veteran of interstate driving, I feel safer around an 18 wheeler or B-Double than I do around some guy who leaves the suburbs once or twice a year.
