Body parts risk being hit when outside a car window. Laws been around for a while. There probably always trying to get cigarettes and eating food whilst driving banned.

tell that to the parents of the person killed in a road accident, caused by the driver using a mobile phone.
i know the driver, who is in prison, the person killed was her friend.

Cops can use phones while driving. Had one behind me once and he was concentrating on everything but the road.

One rule for them, another for us.

you are correct, all police vehicles are exempt in NSW and WA traffic codes (don't know about any other states)
and i doubt very much he was on faecesbook or checking the latest diet fad.

surprised me, took a bit bit of searching, because i know that some of the state laws are different.

the WA laws also include the old chestnut of driving with your arms out of the window (and the passenger).
not sure who gets done for the passengers arms lol

the other thing that surprised me was that Sharee Panetta got done at all.
if i was the cop, i would be very sympathetic (and a tad distracted);)

Shes very attractive.

Tonnes of cars on the road with CarPlay/Android with huge screens that display maps. Can’t fine everyone
maps and apps that are designed to keep your hands on the wheel and eyes on the road are ok, and legal.
we are talking about texting and faecebooking whilst driving with mobiles.

there are apps that can allow you to play youtube on the carplay/android dash etc, what can go wrong?

How are you guys escalating it to get more? Are you perhaps mentioning it to them and see how they react?

When you see the same lady regularly things just get comfortable. Compliment her on her looks/dress/home decor/anything women love a compliment. Once you get a measure of her and feel she is not a 'bait and hate feminist' have a go. If she is 100% legit she will resist any attack but if you go nude, lay on your back with a bone and she is cool with it usually you will get something. I flip the meat up towards the belly button and ask for a tummy rub that will often give you a feel for things. Half the time they will 'accidentally' knock your meat, often as part of them determining what you want. If they touch somewhere you like give mild appreciative feedback. (eg a deep breath, say mmm, open your legs a bit more, etc) Golden rule...don't do or say anything they can get the cops involved...be subtle, respect the girl.

who would have thought you can get fined for your passenger using a mobile phone?
a woman driver called Sharee has been fined $337 last year for a passenger using faecestime.
i can understand the logic, it would be distracting to the driver.
i assume it would only apply to the front passenger seat.
"to drive vehicle with TV/VDU image visible to the driver is illegal"

also, i have now removed all my fluffy dice lol

FINES FOR FLUFFY DICE OR STICKERS IN EACH STATE
NSW: $344 fine, three demerit points
Victoria: $248 fine
Queensland: $311 fine but police don't consider them obstructions
WA: $100 fine, one demerit point
SA: $253 fine
Im the Queen of driving Fines in NSW 😵😵

Some of these laws and fines are being introduced as blatant revenue raising measures. Sure they'll say it's to increase safety but that's bs. Our society is becoming so over regulated that we get fined for doing little things like having a feed as we are driving.
Pity the long distance truck drivers and others who make their living spending huge chunks of their working day driving.

again, tell that to the parents of the dead girl mentioned in this thread.
if truckies are not using properly installed devices to enable them to keep in contact and make the day go along better, then they should be fined more.
anyone driving a 20 ton truck using a mobile and texting deserves no sympathy at all.
i agree about eating, this action seems to take take zero concentration from driving, while the mobiles totally distract people.
apparently, in WA, 100% of all speed and red light camera fines go into a road safety fund RTTF.
what actually happens to this money is not clear to me.

The problem with fines is that they do not hit everyone equally. $500 would be a minor annoyance to a C.E.O. on $100k a year but a disaster for a single mum or pensioner. Fines based on income would be fairer.
i agree.
there a few euro countries that have traffic fines according to income (finland, germany & switzerland)
it appears as though finland has income based fines for all criminal offences.

I'm all for fines for drivers who endanger other drivers, passengers and pedestrians by not concentrating on driving 'said' vehicle. However what would be useful would be standardised fines across Australia for the same offence which would then make the fines imposed by some states not appear as just blatant revenue raising.
