Money accounts for everything. period. By far the only pre-cursor before anyone turns to a "potential" candidate; that includes investing towards the physical attributes itself. Couple that with the infinite competition and silly economic system in place - the failure rates behind relationships speak for themselves.

Working towards own self-gratification and progressive thinking makes more sense to me. Speaking as one of fading generation y's - "friends with benefits" - LOL - never happened to me. An entirely given, gratification luxury if there ever was one.

Recently read an SMH article (Why some men sees sex workers) - out of the 243 comments - the best (I've read) stated that for us males have to cover all this costs into dating, drinks, (questionably healthy) food, shopping; or "maintenance" generally speaking - are all just a part of stroking a woman's ego just to get laid. In other words - all women expects men to pay for admission / "Faking an interest" to get her in the mood.

Now as much as I'd like to remain myself as a gentleman, but for how long until one can run out either one of two things - time and money?

-
To answer the main question whether anyone would stop - depends on their circumstances. One thing for sure - It all brings back to the money supply in question doesn't it. So long as they have more than enough - then they have the luxury of choice for themselves whether to continue or stop.

Very true Anaatacia - it suits for the sexual side of it but I also like just being around a woman and doing the 23.45 hours of foreplay for three days to get the 45 minutes of sex and 15 minutes of after glow where you don't have to think of moving on - there is something nice about the other time spent with a woman too...but for cost probably cheaper in the long run to be with you beautiful ladies...and the sex is usually better too...

Hi Anastacia

I would like to respond to the title of your great thread. Can a man stop? I can't answer for everyone, but I did. I have a few reasons for that but I have. But I must say that I never thought I would. It is no secret that I was one of the most notorious punters around that saw a lot of ladies. Why? Because it was addictive...... I did this when I was married, when I was divorced, when I was on my next relationship. But now something has made me STOP. I have nothing against service users and providers as it is an important function in society since the beginning of time. And of late I have had plenty of opportunities to do people in the industry some good. What I am going through personally is just part of my journey.

There are many reasons according to my understanding why I was addicted, and the best way I can express it is that it met 4 of my 6 human needs. And that is as addictive as other addictive activities. I won't write all of the 6 human needs as another long mundane post would you know...... but have a look at this diagram as it can illustrate it perhaps better than I can.

After being married for many years, and now being divorced for almost eight years, I really enjoy the independence of not having to account to anyone. If I buy a new shirt, then get home and decide I don't like the colour in daylight, then I just toss it in the bin - no feeling guilty, etc.

From time to time (actually, most of the time), I do feel the need for female company and sex, and then I wait to get to town and see a WL. It does mean that I only get sex a few times a year - but I was only getting it a few times a year in the last years of marriage !

Its cheaper; its safer (I suspect that few girls you pick up in clubs/pubs are as safety conscious as WLs); there is infinite variety; if you don't click, don't rebook; if she doesn't answer, try someone else; its a sure thing. The list of advantages appears endless !

To cut a long story short (pay attention Honestman), I am really enjoying being single and seeing the occasional WL, AND I have worked out that it is much cheaper for me (courtesy of living in the Pilbara - only a few trips to Perth !).

Well, women have their nail, pedicures, hair treatments to make themselves feel good. So men can continue to have their massages with their happy endings, and the company of working ladies to make them feel good ;)

Irony & sarcasm noted; if that is intended.

I'm not expecting anyone to fully absorb everything I am trying to be vocal on. Take it for what it is worth to you.

Back to the topic - it seems that you are happy with your current circumstances and thus forwarded your opinion. Well, so long as you are happy that's all that matters. Never been on a work trip myself as I'm chained to the desk.

Hey Honestman, no offense intended.

I am always interested in your posts, but I have a short attention span and always like short posts.

Sometimes I have to whack myself on the back of the head and tell myself, "Keep it short, or they wont read it !".

Especially in my writing, less is more. What do you think ?

Cheers.

Always makes me laugh when men say they dont have to pay for sex.
My mate used to rib me about it.
Then he came home from work and the wife had moved his kids to england.
He now has nothing and considers me a very lucky man

Of course everyone wants simplicity. Including myself. I work in the creative industries. I see contradictory behaviours and expectations from clients all the time.

What I wrote was more than just simply an opinion, I just happened to stumbled across more facts; as a form of a published article (with 200+ comments on that) to see if anyone agrees with me. If no one does agree with me, that's fine, everything is relative to your own circumstances which brings you the power of comfort to simply say no. Or better yet, leave it for what it's worth to you or anyone else's.

I don't care for what hell if anyone does or does not get what I wrote. Keep things to yourself. Unless if I wanted to put out a problematic experience (especially in this industry) that needs to be shared and for most to be aware of then by all means - I will not miss a single detail.

Anyway enough rant from me. Back to this topic - no matter how old, wise or reserved - our human instinct remains one and all the same. Sad to say - but too much politics & false beliefs get in the way.

Right or wrong she was certainly pretty tough.. Makes you happy you don't live in a shithole like India!!
I have spent 12 months in India........I wouldn't call it a shit hole but it is certainly a challenge looking at it through European eyes.
There is no question about the hardship Indian women face when outcast-ed by society......that's why I do admire her as a woman who did stand up to the repressive and male dominated Indian society.

Not only women get outcast-ed...men also get outcast-ed. The caste system in India.

But I agree Indian women have it tough. Pretty tough indeed, the number of abuses go unreported.
From what I heard, not sure if this is true. If an Indian man finds a lady attractive, he would commit rape on this lady and then marry her. There are a lot of such cases there that were not reported or police chose to turn a blind eye because it's a culture thang.

Strong or weak can flip over from moment to moment. And I don't give a crap.

But to the woman that can pitch something back when I pitch something at her (I have not met many that can).......................she will keep me intrigued for the rest of my life.

I am impressed Homer, you certainly did your homework. And honestly I don't want to turn this post into an Indian women post only but just as a final remark........there is only one class of people treated with less respect in India than the Indian women and that is the white female. As I said it was a challenge and a very different/difficult (but actually good) experience to be the only white female face in a sea of locals.......

Some men like strong women (mentally and physically) the opposite can also be said. Me, I am an independent strong women and I need a strong man in every sense of the word.Sometimes opposites attract, in my case I am attracted to to powerful men with soft centres.

This is a great question Lana and I can answer that from my own likes. Well I like a woman to be strong, intelligent, confident and want me but not need me. But a really important thing is having just a vulnerability hidden away there somewhere, so she's not totally wonder woman.. she can go out into the world strong and independent and take on the world.. but when occasionally it all gets a bit overwhelming, or she's having a bad day.. just like any of us, she can just let go.. fall into my arms and lose herself in my embrace for a little while, not have to be strong.. be able to be the little girl she once was even for a moment. I don't know if that makes sense but it just totally melts me when I find someone with all those qualities that I'm attracted to - working ladies included.
