Unless someone had just done a walkin , not scanned or done manual entry and paid in cash...its fine...but if u have called/texted the establishment/ WL then the police can go through the call records easily and trace you...its not tough for them to know how visited the premises on those days....anyways good luck to everyone...drink hot water and take steam with vicks/ eucalyptus and you should be fine...

Interesting he only listed the suburbs for other sites yet clearly named the two parlours ..

He's a bloke, of course he'll know what goes on behind closed doors. Naming them goes to show how dangerous the situation really is.

If more shops get hit, i bet he'll be putting a lockdown for 2-3 weeks just on them alone. Or enforce that they also have Mosic sign ins via the safe wa app before entry. Or suffer HEAVY fines.

Like i said very bad for business.

Here is where an anti vaxxer should speak up, and say they'll be the first to go back to U natural... Funny isn't it? 😜 Since they are For shops that don't support the jab, now a shop suffers because of it. They are no where in sight to give it support...Instead acting like everyone else and treat it like a disease.

Funny how quick ppl change sides...

As for me i called up a few of my regular shops to check they're doing ok. < 2 jabs in & waiting for my booster>

Interesting statement that this particular location was visited by "a number of COVID-positive people". Firstly, that a number of people admitted to visiting the location. And second, given the small number of cases (reported anyway) in WA, the fact that a number of COVID p
Yeah right - The Health Department & the Police are not that stupid. And its not as if these fines were instigated overnight - they have been in place since June 2020.
but prove it in a court of law… If there is no record or proof that people were there then how do they prove the charges. We know they were there, the health department knows, the police know as well. But prove it….

Well if you get COVID - you are going to be interviewed by the contract tracers and if you try and say you must have caught it from one of the other 'hotspots' they will ask 'did you sign' using the app or the manual register and you say I must have forgot - silly me when you don't appear on that list - you are still liable for a fine for failing to sign in and you are also providing false information.

I too just had that down as misreported or a misinterpretation.
I can not see how that could be the case given our numbers and their quarantine once positive. And if it was a worker testing positive, then hopefully everyone visiting (all 11) were ok before they went in.
Interesting few days coming.

Hmmm. Is the mandatory contact register/sign in currently enforced at the moment? Didn't think it was 😬. Maybe 31 Jan prior to reopening, but for now thought it was voluntary

What if patrons refuse to provide contact details?
Individuals can face penalties of up to 12 months’ imprisonment or fines of up to $50,000 for entering a premises after refusing to provide their contact details.

The only place I've required to mandatory check in prior to enter was the casino. Shops and gym, although the QR / sign in is made available noone seems to be doing it.

Maybe although it's supposed to be mandatory it's not enforced like when the first outbreak. This article although from last year advises the police stance

Does not make it right though. Without the ability to trace and try to find those affected in a known location, the alternative is going back to locking the entire metro area down for one or two cases.

However Omicron is here in the community now. It is not going away, nor be contained.

That's true but we don't want it to turn into multiple supercells all over perth. And became exactly like over east.

I prefer to have a few here or there. Not go from single to double to triple digit and beyond per day.

We all Love our lifestyle here thus far. Lets pray it stays this way.

See now this may be awkward, if I am a guy who’s been here and I believe in this virus. The news may bring U Natural up at the dinner table. I can’t admit I’ve been there to my family, and I may wonder if I am putting them at risk.

The article pointed out only 14 people registered with their app. Will they get a phone call that compromises them with their family?

And when there is a string of these places publicised as exposure sites, especially straight out brothels, it will be morbidly interesting?

Sounds like one of the girls who works there has it
If everyone who went in and out of the shop for the week including workers and customers is at risk this could spread very quickly as everyone is advised to isolate for 14 days
There could be a lot of close contacts
This could potentially close massage shops down as we all know no one signs into them and there will be a lot of contact there
How many other places have that girl worked at? Anyone know who she is?

I was sent her picture, but I don't know any of the girls at the shop to put a name to it. And, not sure I'd want to post said picture here.

I've also just been told another one tested positive yesterday.

Thanks for keeping us in the loop @Be Nice

It's definitely going to an interesting/nerve racking 2 weeks ahead for everyone.

With the nature of covid spread....we cannot blame the "nameless customer" as he might be asymptomatic when visiting and later felt sick and tested for positive....covid is more infectious before you develop symptoms....on the other hand if the customer knew he was positive and visited then the law should cut his tools so that he cant have another root...as someone said" the fear of getting covid & dying from it is far more than the covid itself"...
