Yeah i get it some are pretty hard to come up with but surely you's can come up with one that is different. I dont think that its intential but i do think that there are some names that sound sexier than others plus when i first started in any place the receptionist always asks if you have a working name and if you dont then they give you one that is not being used)- names are like house dresses, they get passed around for all the newbies to try

It is a bit like the Dread Pirate Roberts.

In the racing industry the horses have to have unique working names so that punters don't get confused. ( I am not saying the W/Ls share any horsey characteristics). The W/lLs Name Registration Board.
Scrap that idea - with the MetaData laws being passed everyone should adopt the same name to confuse the powers that be.

I had someone else pick my working name. Ginger is pretty easy to remember.... There is another Ginger I think on Langtrees.com (Miss ginger?) but I dont think there has been another lady called Gingers inhouse??

I wanted to have my name changed to Bonnie, but there was another lady here called bonnie. Then I wanted to be called Violet but got another NO.

Ginger it is....

Yeah that's all good, guess that happens alot, Though i would of thought that you would be told if you didn't choose your own name the one they offer you should maybe at least told it has been used at the agency your starting work at before (Would that change your mind?).. Also that would depend on how long you have been using that agency as a punter as well. Though i wouldn't have thought it would be that hard to come up with your own name, (just my opinion), Though Roxy Rabbit is different, at least i think there has only been the one of you there from memory.. Also thanks for liking the thread Ginger..

Unfortunately we don't get told if our name was previously used, and usually have to give a few options for the house to choose from when we start.

I chose Kitty because it is a nickname I used to get from my friends when I was younger, also using a term of endearment as a name prevents slip ups when I get recognised on the street (being tattooed and easily recognisable it happens a bit). Adding the last name of du Jour (loosely translated to 'of the day') was my taking the piss a bit, and being called 'pussy of the day' seemed rather fitting.

Basically if a name works it works! End of the day when ur a newbie its just a name, however when u are a seasoned worker its a complete head fuck to have t5o change a name you have stuck with for so long - itd be screwed if i couldnt be roxy rabbit!!!!
