There is no consistency and no strong leadership to provide direction.
There needs to be a lock down sooner rather than later and strictly enforced with drones, police, military and big fines and imprisonment to act as deterrent to hopefully drop the number of cases and minimise casualties that are both expected to grow exponentially.
We are dealing with exponential growth in cases doubling every 3 or 4 days.
The number of deaths will grow exponentially in line with the number of cases increasing as the virus spreads its way.

Those girls in those hostels are in a all you can have fun buffet, if they aren't knocked up now they will be 6mths down the track. Some will probably accept money to keep food on the table and roof over their heads.

Hmmm House prices too.. but what happens after the 6 month rental eviction ban lifts and those tenants both retail and residential can't pay the rent due to not having a job? then what? The banks want their money, and the landlords will be desperate to fill that with a tenant if they can find one with a job... They have just kicked the can down the road till end of 2020 when the real mess will begin in Australia. The Banks may become the biggest holders of homes in the land. The nation has to get back to normality ASAP!

All those McMansions worth 1.8million on Paper will be maybe worth 800,000 in real $ terms. or even less. but the Swiss did TRY to warn Australia way back in 2008-2009 about rampant house price growth, now look at the country. Could be rocky times ahead for the middle to upper middle class of Australia, which are Liberal voters.

A nation thats its only trick is sending bulk ore carriers full of raw product to manufacturing nations then the local Australian consumer buying that back at the world's most expensive price is such a great business model. Even the stores that moved Manufacturing offshore "Made in China" are failing back in Australia ... The costs here are too horrendous compared to anywhere else. But Australia was warned of all of this by the Dutch and the Swiss way back in 08-09 and what did the Aussies say "Get F-ed we know best" well Aussies will have to find that ANZAC spirit soon.
