I'm actually away for a few months in August - October hunting the aurora's and other exciting things. I may not make the north pole but I'll be close

Kamchatka is high on my travel bucket list. Far eastern Russia.

(Avachinsky Kamchatka, Russia)

When I was young I lived there for six month. I have NEVER EVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THAT.

Paratunka thermal hot springs. Kamchatka is unique for heliskiing. Fishing. Hunting. YOU WOULD LOVE IT!

It looks like an incredible place. How old were you? Dont tell me your interested in heliskiing / boarding!! Have you seen the Aurora? I'm going to try and see Aurora Australis from south east WA but its never really worked out for me.

I think the Artic circle and Russia appeal to me as they really are so far from little old Perth and offer oppertunities that you cant experience in Australia. I could go without sex for the next 25 years but I'd be miserable if I couldn't explore the world.

I was young, 15. Everyone who have been to Kamchatka love it. I am learning snowboarding but i love skiing ( not good for heliskiing, yet..) and I go NZ, Queenstown ( Remarkables) , and Europe, Austria ( Kitzbuhel) on regular basis. I haven’t seen yet Aurora lights but that’s on my " bucket list". I am booked already next year for Antarctica and few other places... -) I love travel, but i love my sex. kits.jpeg Photo of Kitzbuhel village,

Totally agree..........going far away is not always necessary. I went down south three times in my 5 and a half years in Perth and I do absolutely love it.
Place to call home....if I would have a lazy amount of money sitting in the bank that would buy me a life style block ;)

I have seen some beautiful pics of the world in this thread but only a few say why these places are so attractive to them
I love Chile it has all the extremes rather big hills the Andes the most spectacular desert in the atacama and the primeval Patagonia A brilliant but friendly city in Santiago and great food only rivalled by the people

Ahoy Here some Trivia
Adelaide voted the best city in Australia by Wotif reviewers.
LONELY Planet said so. New York Magazine agreed. And now Adelaide has been voted the best city in Australia by reviewers on travel booking site Wotif.com.
The City of Churches earned the highest score of the nation’s capitals, narrowly beating Hobart. It follows several accolades for Adelaide, which was the only Australian city listed in the Lonely Planet top 10 list of the world’s top cities to visit in 2014.

ta_prong.jpg angkor.jpg Angkor Wat. Bayon and Ta Prohm Bayon-Temple-Cambodia-1600x1062.jpg ( where Angelina made her movie Tomb rider) I came back from this place one month ago. If you have time people, it's absolutely magic. A loty of people visit only Angkor but you would be surprised how big this place...Its about 38 km of a few temples...Its breathtaking. angkor.jpg
