Hi from Miss Mel
Hi all,
My name is Mel and Ive recently returned to the forum after a while travelling around the country side.
Ill tell u a bit about myself .....
I spent a few great years as a working lady in my early twentys, met the most interesting, hilarious, challenging, and beautiful souls in my fellow workers and also my clients. I really got to see the vast array of personalities in a vast range of people.
I originally got into working to pay off my uni debt for my nursing degree which I completed in 2003, but with the smart, strong mentors I had around me I quickly saw the potential I had in the industry, my uni fees took me less than 10 weeks to pay off, the deposit for my 1st property came within months and my feeling of self acheivement over powered anything id ever dreamed of.
I must say, I was blessed to be lucky enough to have the madams and mentors and older working ladies I had around me that I did.
A year into my working career, I boarded a plane to an outback desert town in WA for what was meant to be a 10 day working tour....
The minute I arrived I would say my life changed. Kalgoorlie was the place where I lived, worked, loved and laughed for the next 4 years.
I finished what was an extremely successful few years as a working lady and decided to live up to the people who were my teachers, my guides, my friends and my mentors and "jumped the Counter"
I began working as a night receptionist at Langtrees in Kalgoorlie and started to give back the passion, encouragement and drive I was shown during my working years.
I decided to use my nursing education and gave every waking minute to trying to help and legalise the WA sex industry during 2007. I wrote a small Sexual Health booklet which was distributed, I fought Jim McGinty, I went head to head with a popular catholic priest, I fought with everything I had in me. We were not successful back then in 2007, but I know one day soon WE WILL GET THERE.
I was awarded 2007 Best Brothel Receptionist in Australia, an award I dont believe I deserved alone, an award in which I dedicated to all the people who believed in me as a shy, unaware, gullible newby to the industry, those people who I, to this day still silently thank when I look around at everything I have acheived and learnt.
Which brings me to today, Ive returned to Sydney where my family roots are, for what I will say only temporarily, I have returned to my nursing to retouch and refresh myself with the health side of everything, to update my education etc.
I return to this great forum and hopefully in the near future to the place where my heart remains - the WA Sex Industry.
I am here to answer any questions, thoughts, theories, ideas with everyone in NSW and would really love to hear from all you ladies and gents
We are all here with the same thing in mind, so lets gets our thoughts out there and those unanswered questions answered.
Im really excited to be back on here, and back amongst everyone xxx
