Slight discomfort for a couple days.
It depends on the surgeon. Mine was done under local with a screen up. She did 2 small key hole entries on the sac, cut and sealed each end of the vas. All over in 20 mins. The incisions took a week to fully heal. Wear tight jocks to reduce risk of them opening up. There is no flesh underneath the sac, so it takes longer to heal compared to a cut on other parts of the body.

Mine was done in a private hospital but partly covered by medicare and private health.
Around $700 out of pocket, $500 went to cover hospital gap.
I was very well looked after.
It would be more expensive if its done under general as you will have to pay for the anaesthetist.
The surgeon decides if its local or general. It depends on whether he/she can easily locate your vas during your first initial consultation. I was lucky my surgeon was quite attractive. I had a semi hard on when she was trying to locate my vas. She did put on a medical glove, that helped with my control, else could have been quite embarrassing.
I did a sperm test a few weeks after. No sperms but semen only so good outcome.
Sex was great after and still is. My regulars love it.
