Well, its a numbers game, really.
We all potentially have 100% brain capacity. If we multitask, we obviously must assign a percentage of that capacity to each task. The total cannot exceed 100%. Therefore when you multitask, each task will get less than full percentage/full attention. Resources are shared. So whether it is 95%/5% or 20%/20%/20%/20%, or some other combination, people who multitask will not perform any of those tasks as well as someone who focuses on just one thing at a time (all other things being equal).
Just consider trying to drive a car while putting on makeup. The News Headline would say " Circus Clown Found Wrapped Around A Tree".

Hello all,

As we talk about one of our favourite pastimes 'punting' , it really is what the word means.

Its a punt, taking a chance...

So out of times you go and see someone from a cold start (and this doesnt include your regulars or someone you have seen before) , what is your percentage of good punts?


Mine is about 50% good/alright, 25% awesome and 25% never go back

Ok - obviously, I can hear you say. And I agree with that sentiment.

But in my experience one of the biggest gulfs between the sexes is the ability of women to exercise willpower - how do they do it !!? Why are they so much better at it than me !? I was struck by this difference a few months ago (not the first or the last time I'm sure mind you!) when I visited an AMP on Main St. In fact I have two brief tales to illustrate my point.

Yes, I would think they are possibly in a relationship and their partners are okay with what they do, provided there are certain things they save for their special guy. I would think this is only fair.
