It is a bit awkward.

I like to book about a week ahead so that I know who I am seeing and can enjoy the anticipation and also I need time to organise my schedule to have that amount of time 'free' (2 hours - 30 minutes to get there, 60 mins booking, 30 mins to get home).

So now I text the day before, but have a 'back-up' plan in case they then say they are booked.
