Not something I'd do, but word round the traps is that some punters do....and possibly to their regret.

Can't verify, but word round the traps is that some punters may recently have got burnt with double up charging.... Seems that there have been multiple cases being observed.

Seems like some operators are recording cc details and doing a second charge later on.

Given the nature of the transaction they are perhaps counting on the punter not being too interested to raise it with their bank... just like they don't want the second phone details being publicly known!!!!!!

I generally pay cash only, have very occasionally resorted to the card for the shop fee if low on cash.

Indeed, who knows, maybe paying for our punts via cryptocurrency could be on the cards in the future?
If so I can think of one coin specially suited to the task.... (little joke for the crypto people on here)
