There's some, with the usual spectrum from good to pretty bad.

A proper setup will have (as a minimum) dedicated makeup person (usually a specialist body makeup artist, which is different from general facial makeup artist), dedicated hair person, dedicated lighting person and dedicated camera operator separate to the financier / director / producer or whatever title the person organising the shoot wants to give themselves.

These five roles have non-overlapping skills (except maybe the hair and makeup) so a dedicated person for each is needed, and only the camera operator is really required on set during the shoot itself.

Most people don't realize that in a porn shoot, the woman has all the power as at any time she can just walk out. I'm not going to speculate on pay scales as that is up to the woman to determine if the pay will adequately compensate for her time and appearance.

Keep in mind that a proper production will provide signed contracts stating what will be done with the footage, require a model release to be signed by the performer and address the issue of royalties (which in this situation would probably state "not offered"). If you show up, get filmed, paid and walk out then the person who recorded the performance can pretty much do what they want with it.

Also keep in mind that the footage used, if put on the internet, can be used to generate income for years and that once it is online, there is no taking it back - it's out there for the whole world to see including friends and prospective employers.

I'd be very wary of being taken advantage of by fly-by-night crews with a camera and a hotel room. I'm not saying that Jumbo is dodgy - far from it. Just that there are things you need to consider in order to make an informed decision and that the person you are dealing with ought to at least present themselves in a professional manner.

And a s a minimum, make sure that they are capable of making you look good. Asking to see samples of previous work should not be a problem.

Dropped in to SL last night and donated them $180 - by picking the wrong girl. I guess I have to put that down to the luck of the draw.
