Smart thing is to leave it to a trained Doctor who will only do it if it is really necessary, ie if you cannot empty your bladder any other way. This sometimes happens after abdominal surgery when the nerves are affected.

Poking around not knowing what you are doing is like Russian Roulette. The bladder wall is paper thin and easily ruptured which is quite a serious matter. The conversation with the emergency department Doctor should make it into medical history.

I've done this. The attraction is that it is a very different experience (especially for guys) as it is an internal rather than external stimulation.
