A transvestite is a male who dresses up as a female and has not had an operation, and probably wont but they like to go around like a woman. something like that.bit like that queen of the desert what was her name - priscilla?

A transexual is someone who may or may not be going to have the operation but usually is on hormones and has breasts and female features, but also a penis. Most working TS will still have a penis and may be having the operation when the time is right after medication etc to get the hormones right. They dont ahve any inclination to be with a female as they feel they are already female and like to be with guys.
Having the penis still gives them the best of both worlds and the guys they are with as a lot fo guys are anal curious and what better way of getting that curiosity satisfied without goin against their grain of being with a man, even though a transexual is in fact still one.

One they have the operation and lose the penis, to themselves and anyone who doesn;t know or doens't care, they are just a woman, and the curiosity of being with them as in relation to a transexual isn;t the same.

that's they TS do really well.

Ok let me give the proper definitions.

Transvestite - A man (generally straight) who is 'in touch with his feminine side' and often gets off sexually from wearing stockings or ladies underwear etc. Likes to dress as a woman but more often than not will never leave the house because it is mainly for sexual pleasure.

Transexual/Transgender - A woman trapped inside a mans body. A woman who is born as a man and feels like a woman on the inside and in the mind, but has the body of a man. More often than not most will start hormone therapy and have breast implants. only 40% will have a sex change operation, a lot of girls will keep their penis and live life as a woman. Sometimes they may choose to have their balls removed and keep their penis as it shrinks with hormone treatment and erection cannot be achieved without viagra.

Drag Queen - A gay man who dresses in womens clothing and does large theatrical makeup for performance or just fun. Nothing sexual about drag. And just because your a drag queen doesn't mean you want to be a woman or look like a woman.

An Active transgender means they still have a penis and enjoy using it for sex. Perhaps they take viagra or arent't far enough along in the hormone treatment and can still get an erection.

I hope this clears up any grey areas people may have.

What is a shemale? Shemales are often considered to be women with penises. I think they can more accurately be called men with a lot of estrogen. Where does the estrogen come from? Does it come from their testicles? Do they produce enough sperm cells to become fathers? What percentage of the population are shemales? I have not been able to find this information on the internet. Does anyone know the answers to my questions?

I do not want this post to be seen as derogatory. It must be difficult to grow up as a shemale. Where does one take showers in gym class?

A man,that has either gotten plastic surgery,or started taking hormones to gain a more feminine apperance.

They still are men,and there testicles i would imagine are still effective enough.

no ones born a shemale,so no need to worry about showering in gym class.

Here's a sample of a she male.... sometimes called 'Chicks with Dicks'...as they dress, look and act like a Woman... but are equipped...below like a man.... as sweet1 explained they are born male... would prefer to be female... so grow breasts, long hair, shave all other body hair... use make up, perfume, lipstick, wear stockings, bras, womens clothes, stilletoes and visit the girls loo!.. And yes their 'male equipment' ..if still 'pre-op' still works and they can suck -n- fuk like any other man or woman... and some will suck -n-fuk both genders...and some will be fukt by other men.

I know that we are on a primarily sex industry based forum but.......... I think it is time for some education......

There is no such thing as a she-male in real life. She-males only exist inside the realms of the sex industry and in porn movies.

In real life the people that you call "she-males" are people who are either pre-op or non-op transsexuals and in most cases are working in the sex industries to earn enough money to have surgeries, be that SRS, FFS etc etc, or just to be able to afford hormone treatments and numerous doctors and specialists appointments.

Why are there a large number of transsexuals working in the sex industry? Sadly the answer is plain old prejudice. Imagine turning up to a job interview with all your documentation showing a male name and having a big M in the sex column whilst wearing a skirt... Do you think you would get the job?

Transsexual and transgendered people ARE born that way. Showering in gym class is an especially painful experience for most TS/TG people... In fact school in general is a nightmare. School is full of torment, harassment and violence. TS/TG teenagers are around 10-12 times more likely to be a victim of a serious assault and are three times more likely to suicide than their cisgendered classmates (cisgender = physically and mentally matching genders ie the majority of people)

No, their goal is to be accepted as a human being, treated equally and live a normal life in their true gender.

I have only mentioned male to female transsexuals because they are typically what the sex industry calls "she-males". I haven't even touched on female to male transsexuals nor intersexed people.....

The thing that amazed me the most about this post is that it appeared on November the 20th which is the International Transgender Day of Remembrance. A day on which transpeople all around the world gather to honour those that have been killed in transphobic related violence. Thankfully this year there isn't an Australian name on the list....

No offence was taken, but it did hit a raw nerve with the posts rather poor (but I believe totally unintentional) timing. The Perth TDoR ceremony is being held tonight and I have been active in helping organise it.

Normally I don't get so animated about this sort of thing, a name is just a name, but the name "she-male" does hold some very negative connotations in the broader community and can be very offensive outside of the porn and sex industry worlds.

FYI, I am a post-op transsexual woman and normally I am less confrontational in my attempts to educate the broader public. I do apologise for the tone of my earlier post.

No need to apologise CathyDomme it was all just a matter of communication and by your comments you have made a valuable contribution to our forum...and I thank you for that.

But, of course, you are right... 'She-Male' & 'Chiks with Diks' can be offensive... but in this forum (rather than the outside world) it is used, not to be derogatory, but rather to be 'descriptive' when trying to draw a picture in the mind of an individual who is perhaps not familiar with the correct terms, such as 'Pre-op' and 'Post-op' Transexuals.

The way I see it, Bisexual means Male or Female attractedness. Pan means also capable of being attracted to people who identify as anywhere along the spectrum in between the two gender extremes of masculine and feminine, androgyny etc... Be it biological/expression/ or identity.

Pan literally means "all".

Urban Dictionary Definition that is my personal favourite :D

pansexuality Bisexuality for people who are too cool to call themselves bisexual.
"Bisexuality? That's too mainstream. Pansexuality is for the truly open-minded. You probably don't even know what that means."

Ok... if some one drives a car and rides a motorbike. You can call them a motor-cyclist. If someone is a burglar and a murderer, you may call them a murder. That they drive cars or rob houses are moot points in each specific context. The term goes to the most outlying case. But if someone is attracted sexually and romantically to Men AND Women. They aren't Gay/Lesbian. They're Bisexual. Do you see the difference?

And further, if they are ALSO capable of being attracted to non-gender binary conforming people be it expression, or identity, or more importantly gender expression doesn't really play a major part in that attraction, you can go a step further and say they are Pansexual.

It's not really that complicated.

As for the promiscuity of "camp blokes." That doesn't really into it. The definition does not hinge on the fact that a person is sexually promiscuous. Just that they have the capability of being attracted to certain individuals.

A man can be heterosexual and not actually be sleeping with a woman.

Pansexuals are impervious to relationship socio accepatable.
Pansexuals relegate the exterior as just a vessel housing the inner beauty of a soul.
Pansexuals can have preferences like everyone else.
Pansexuality is not transexuality as a lot of people beleive.
And being pansexual doesnt make you easy.

Pansexuality is just another label and doesn t define aperson.
