Hi just wondering if there is a motel like the old red castle where a lot of wl’s stay and work from. The old red castle was a lot of fun to stay at

I havnt been for a while but that motel area along great eastern highway used to be hot. Also the canning bridge motel,
A motel at the river end of Preston street Como and one on the left side of Albany highway just past the Nicholson road
Turnoff. The Rhodes motor hotel on mill point road was amazing. I think that one has gone. All the others are still operating.

I don't know if it's still the case but all those seedy motels/autolodges along Great EAstern Highway were very often rented by working ladies, I think it was $100 a night and from there they'd turn tricks. Of course being an "old school" motel, the keys were often duplicated by tenants.
New unknowing tenants would hire a room for a week, come in one day and find the place ransacked by someone with an imitation key. That may have changed now who knows.

The hotel mentioned is located at 1459 Albany Highway Beckenham. There was a bait and switch operator who used pictures lifted from a Turkish website who met clients there.

Long since demolished and replaced by apartments. You can still see the old castle spire that they left standing
