I have been Qantas for years ... club and gold ff ...the on flight quality has been dropping for years... even had a flight than ran out of drinks?? then covid so no travel... they gave me 6 months extra on both... good service I thought... then as the WA border stayed shut they decided to cancel both on me.. when I called to complain and finally got through they said that it's a government issue so can't help.... cost them absolutely nothing to keep the membership going if not being used... Did the same to most of the people I work with across Australia so we went to management and had Qantas taken off the list... that's at least 3 flights a day Qantas / Jetstar won't get....

Then they announce buying out the competition to reduce losses... give me a break... never again...

Qantas Lounge isn’t the same I enjoyed my coffee, my boiled egg and my weekly or monthly read of a newspaper. The have ditched the paper since COVID so that pleasure has gone.
Back traveling again nearly every week.I have been with Qantas for more than 20 years as a frequent flyer and club lounge member.
Qantas in the early days didn’t have a feature for the hyphen in my name about 6 years ago they added Hypens for the odd old fogey like me that likes to see her name spelt correctly.
Now back into travel they have the hyphen on the machine but after waiting 30 minutes to use kiosk it rejects my booking as says go get help.
Waiting for the plane today I thought I would address the issue and Qantas Lounge staff said just take out the hyphen you must booked it that way.
We didn’t book it that way yes either Diane or Kate make my bookings and after asking them and sighting for myself they use hyphen.
Going back to typing in a name that is not mine annoys me.Am I being too perdantic I’ve seen them pull up passengers with one letter mistake in name so should I insist that Qantas get it right or should I just move on
Tell them to get it right. That is there job. Let one thing slip, than everything else starts to slip. Is what I think.

Perhaps you could share your stories with Lidia Thorpe from the greens who has received similar bad treatment from airlines.
although absoultly positively no way am I saying vote for the greens formed by the milnes and Webb families.

That's terrible if you had travel insurance would that cover the flight fee and cost of hotel room you just lost.

Most of us wouldn't buy travel insurance for a Geraldton Perth trip would we ?
Looks like a 30 minute booking instead of 1 hour

Qantas is as amoral as any big business, supporting gay marriage because weddings create air travel, but also willing to work with evil regimes.

Big organisations always go to shit when they remove all the middle managers needed to oil the organisation, and times become interesting.

But Qantas has flatbeds on most Perth - East Coast flights - just check the seat map or type of plane. Virgin doesn't.

By flatbeds do you mean a pillow and a blanket and pay to sleep in the Aisle ?

No wonder my sister got all the interstate relatives airline tickets from virgin airlines after a death in the family.
she researched seating type of plane refundable tickets also booked hotel rooms for other interstate relatives when she lives interstate herself.

With Qantas from Perth to Sydney, Airbus A330 business class seats turn into flat beds (with pillows...) but not Boeing 737s. You can see which aircraft when you book online.

If you're paying your own airfare, it's a really cost effective use of frequent flyer points if you book far in advance, check which A330 flights have business class frequent flyer point seats left, book discount economy seats on those flights, then use frequent flyer points just to upgrade to business class. I only use frequent flyer points for this.

Unfortunately Qantas aircraft don't have suites or showers, even in international first class, so you can't be intimate on Qantas without risking interruption.

Not the point though is it... you are paying for a service and they aren't providing it.. if you took your car for a service and paid the money to be told "we got busy so did nothing" you word crack the shits... airlines seem to skirt that with some lame excuses

Would be nice but they are the expensive flights and as the terms and conditions say "aircraft may be substituted dependant on circumstances" i.e. pay the money and we will give you an old crappy aircraft for the same price with tv screens in the ailse ceiling...
