Holden in Australia was a saddle maker originally then as it grew was bought lock stock and barrel by America then came under the GM (H) Badge....

They will all lose their jobs by the end of this year.
The Elizabeth plant has produced Holden cars for the last 40 years,
It was only a couple of years ago that plant hired over 3000 workers.

The Holden car is a Aussie icon.
It will not be replaced by American rubbish

Thank you H2, It was in no way hurtful to the hard working folks whom I know will all be out of work by dec 2017 in Toyota , Ford and Holden, I feel for them and their families, I have lived near Holden in adelaide and it will be sad to see that place close what will they use of that huge factory there, likewise in Altona and Braodmeddows and Geelong alike and its the downstream side to and upstream side to which will be effected.

Its sad Happy pirate what is happening I was just highlighting the fact of a locally made ute not who made it as in persons.. but the company itself... sorry Happy Pirate..
