If the wellbeing of foreign trafficking victims is the issue here, then bringing this to the attention of the authorities is only going to move them from one form of captivity to another (with the likely hood of police brutality along the way - we all know how well immigrants are being treated at the moment). I am well aware that here is no perfect solution here, and social services are ridiculously underfunded and whorephobic, but getting these women deported (the likely outcome) is in no way doing anything but taking competition out of the market.

IF the wellbeing of trafficked women is your concern MA, why are your staff continuing to highlight Australian workers who are providing natural services?

Kitty my staff & non paid moderators have minds of their own. Each has their own thought process and I respect them for that. I asked them to collect the adverts, would it be fair to ask them to collect Asian lady adverts only-Mary-Anne K

Did you read my reply?
This action is about Safe Sex Practices and Advertising. I said that the ones working against their will is a whole different thread (It's also a different issue). It is most definitely in need of advocacy, maybe you could work on that? We kind of have our hands full with this issue at the moment. :)

The highlight of Australia workers is in the past you are silly have in general been the only natural service offered by Aussie woman but now there has become quite a few aussie woman offering natural sex to be competitive with what was a service only offered by Asian woman in the past. Plus with the lack of censorship with ads it's now more in the open for all to see.

West Australia only Tania .when i came to WA 33 yrs ago I was horrified that condoms were a clients choice only.NZ and the eastern states had a high standard of condom use.
Yes I campaigned for compulsory use, but it was HIV that made the difference for the police to change the policy and made condoms mandatory for penetrative sex, it was the 2000 sunset act that broadened this to all sexual acts where body fluids were present.

Hats of to you Mary 10/10, :) Actually Mary hats of to you totally for doing what you have done in this industry in Western Australia. Really well done :)

I 100% support everything Kitty has said.

Mary-Anne, you can't claim to "care for these women" while actively shaming them and campaigning to make their working conditions less safe.

Many women resort to sex work as a means of surviving. All women deserve to work safely and discreetly, and they deserve to be respected. What they DON'T deserve, is to be publicly shamed. We are all people, after all.

Naming and shaming does absolutely nothing to stop natural services. Instead it makes it more difficult for workers to clearly negotiate services; seek appropriate medical services; and greatly contributes to internalised stigma among workers. It is important to stick together regardless of what services are offered.

Also, online advertising has nothing to do with "the children of the future." It's a parent's responsibility to educate their children about safe sex practices. Everybody is responsible for their own sexual health, and if somebody decides to have unprotected intercourse, that's soley their decision. Whether you think that decision is right or wrong is irrelevant. Frankly, it's not your business.

Anybody who thinks they have the right to dictate what other women should or shouldn't do with their bodies should be ashamed of themselves.

Laura I have replied to you in the enemy thread.
Link is broken so has been taken down

Would you prefer I deselect this post and make it into your own thread, or would you like me to delete it.In your own threads you can post as often as you like in another persons thread you can make your point only once.Reading this post it is exactly the same as the first one, except the support line at the top for Kitty. You will notice as you read along, on many issues Kitty has agreed or liked what i have said. You will find the emotion buttons at the bottom of each post except your own and you can mark your comments there.
I have marked this post of yours dislike as it is a copy and paste of a former one, that post I marked liked, because I respect you taking the time to have an opinion.

Actually, my posts weren't identical, and the link you posted doesn't even work Mary-Anne.

Kitty hasn't agreed with anything you've said. Nobody in their right mind would.

Literally nothing you said in that comment was relevant. You're too determined to talk over people instead of actually listening.

Also, I've bought this up with Magenta and they are extremely opposed to what you're doing here.

*For those who don't know, Magenta is Perth's local sex worker organisation.

perhaps the porn industry could also be approached and it be made mandatory that condoms are used for all sex otherwise they cant produce a film???

Maybe instead of copying the ads the ladies have posted could just have a thread with the ladies name and the town they are advertising natural services? that way their ads arnt being reposted but it could give the clients an idea for who to look out for???
not sure how to put a stop to unsafe sex but i do think that everyone who has replied to this post has a valid argument-

sex must be safe and we must be respectful to other ladies along the way

Laura Magenta is not Perth's local sex worker organisation, it a part of the family planning clinic of WA, they are funded by government to assist the Sex Industry. They have posted on the forum before, so would be welcomed to join the debate.I suspect they would have to remain neutral.
When I said Kitty had marked agrees or liked to my threads, at the bottom of all posts are emotion buttons, that you can mark on all but your own threads. On many of the posts Kitty has marked agreed, disagreed or Liked or disliked. You simply hit the List button and it will show you who marked which post.I don't know if new members can see this feature, if you let me know I can get IT to upgrade new members permissions.
When I have time I will find the second post and edit your first post and add it for you.
You accused me of not listening, and you may also have the same problem.I do admit to talking over people, but can assure you I listen.

I respect your right to a different opinion, no two people are meant to think the same.

The problem is we have "high end" girls (i.e. some of the girls on Private Girls and Scarlet Blue) and "bargain end" girls (i.e some of the girls on Locanto and Backpage etc) both advertising natural services. Surely there should be some governing body to police theses adds, it shouldn't be left to others to out them. I'm sure if an establishment started advertising natural services the government and media will be all over them.

But what about the ladies who don't advertise natural services and still offer them, either as an extra or as part of the service - see the PSE adds.
