That is your opinion. In Russia majority of people like their president. In my opinion each country deserve the leader they have. Than more sanctions Russians get, than more USA, European union, Canada and Australia try to put pressure on Putin than more popular he is getting in the country. He will never kiss Obama's ass like Tony and rest of European union do it. I am not pro Putin person, he will get what he deserve for his wrong internal politics. But on international arena, he shines compare to some other leaders... I tell you one thing you should know. Tony Abbot total idiot and Putin far, far away from being dumb, and if you never have been in in Russia and Cambodia than maybe you should not compare those countries.

russia has form shooting down civillian aircraft and its pretty well known they were almost certainly directly involved in this case also.
if you have a problem with our pm personally telling him our disgust at his nations involvent ant continuing non cooperation into the murder of australian citizens.....
the kindest thing I casn say is ...please return to Russia ...

1. Maybe you should read everything from the beginning. The air plane was shot above UKRAINIAN TERRITORY. After 3 days, Russian government hold conference where was used photos minute by minute from Russian satellite. Russian government requested pictures from american satellite and we have been waiting for it, more than 3 month....Waiting and waiting.... As far as I can see its the best interest of Ukrainian side to shoot the plane and accuse Russia. They wouldn't be able to do it by themselves , so its obvious one of the Western countries was involved. Now, when investigation team try to get access to plane crash Ukrainian forces continue shooting this area, guess why? Because they don't want investigators to find anything. Also Ukraine refuse to provide information on conversation between plane and traffic controllers. Still under question, why Ukrainian authorities made plane fly lower than they were supposed to be.. We wait for conclusion of investigation. Russia have no interest WHATSOEVER to shoot the plane but its clear , its beneficial for western Europe, and USA to accuse Russia with all sorts of sins... And of course when uncle Sam say jump, Australia and Tony, say How high, Sir ?????? Also, you do know that NATO really want to spread a bit more, preferably in Ukraine. Probably, you didn't know that.
2 I never voted for Tony, I think he is absolutely moron and disgrace for Australian politics for many reasons. Regardless, what he says about Putin and Russia.
