I have never left W.A so I've not fallen inlove with another city in person. But If I could move to a city in a heartbeat to live...

I'd get me a nice place in Kings Park or on Adelaide tce. Why? Because all my family and friends are here, and no other city does. I want to travel, but I'd never leave for real.

Probably categorized as one of the scariest things I have done that certainly had me thinking for a few seconds was doing a Guinness promotion in Perth quite a few years back which involved the Langley Plaza the hotel part

The streets were all closed off and the public had gathered in droves to view the spectacular.

Just before my jump some people had played with the gloves to be worn. These are special gloves with double thickness. Anyway I grabbed what I thought were my gloves went to the ledge leaned right forward so my head was facing the ground then it was time for a Carabiner Rundown

A Carabiner Rundown is basically where you abseil down head first and you rely upon the person on the ground with the rope as they are your brake man and stop you from ending up as part of the footpath. You also brake yourself if you can using certain techniques which I don't need to go into for this post.Well that's the theory behind it.

As I was coming down I could feel the rope burning my the palms of my hands and the pain was phenomenal hence I had to hit the ground at a speed faster than I had intended to. I was lucky that JJ the brake man saw what was happening and was able to assist control the jump and braked me just short of the footpath.

For a few seconds my heart was in my mouth but all ended well except I was unable to do any more jumps as I had to sit inside with my hands immersed in jugs of ice and the blisters on my palms were humongous. I could not even hold a pint of Guinness

Well maybe we need to plan a Langtrees party.. but my guess is that Cyclone Tracey has her heart set on Adelaide :p

Minus the pollies, Canberra would be sweet.

But I would totally live in a city with one of these cafe in the vicinity.

Ahoy Tania;- Think Big "Cruise Ship Trip" all major Aussie city stops all punters and W/L get a free trip on the ship and then set-up a bar on the ship as a strictly Langtrees bar/agency. So we get to see all the langtrees sights as well party on the ship, everyone should be happy.
Call it the SSLangtrees

Good idea, happypirate. The SS would stand for Sex Ship, of course (steam is so 20th Century), and there would be much jolly rogering and passing of rum aboard.

Unfortunately Your XLNC the second S does not stand for ship ( I am a little disappointed you did not point this out HP) It stands for screw So it seems superfluous to have the same meaning twice as in
Sex Screw A little more research and imagination please!

I know your still creaming yourself after just looking at the Clipper ship the Adelaide recently HP
But really, they are not That sexy
Now what happens on in and around said ship may be a different story
