Ahoy;- I came across this video it was a very good documentary of Perth in the 80.
As my local knowledge is very limited I enjoyed the video and what it was presenting.
However I suspect there are many of you guys, "male and female" who lived through this very interesting time in Perth history.
So if you do watch it, "enjoy the memories".
Cheers and Pass the Rum

Colourful days but not so at high school, everyone wore black and the shoes of the day were black desert boots tractor or caterpillar tread.
Had a science teacher that was an ex cop. If you wore a t-shirt with a slogan on it like Iron Maiden or AC/DC he’d make you turn your t-shirt inside out.
My first sexual experience was during silent reading after lunch in science class….yeah I’ll leave it at that….🤷‍♂️

Can someone tell me the old address of "The Site" strip club. You could buy a shirt there. The stripper would wear it on stage, you'd get up and get inside the shirt while she was still wearing it and she would then get out. I think I had about 5 shirts 😂

The reason I ask is, a couple of weeks ago, I was in "The Penthouse Club" and thought it was possibly the same location?

The Site was further back up William St, towards Brisbane St. I remember the tshirt, if you were lucky she would come and have a drink with you too. I can’t remember if it had seperate lap dance rooms.

Black clothes and black DB's , this was era of the "Rock Jaws" and a large population of skinheads in Perth. The rock jaws were basically a prelude to today's bogans if my memory serves me correctly.

Hay St mall had this underground adult theatre porn store type of place, went to the theatre with my first wife and had lots of fun.

That was Club X (under the Savoy Hotel), before it moved to Barrack St and then burned down a couple decades later.

The Site was around 434 William St, opposite the mosque. Not sure what's there now, but there's an Indian place called Meta next door.
The Penthouse Club is located where Limbo nightclub used to be, back in the days when The Site was operating.

Before the cinema was branded with Club X, it was known as the Savoy Cinema. It was showing reruns of Hollywood golden oldies in the late 60's, before moving into nudie flicks in the 70's and then becoming a full on sex shop by the end of the 80's. I think it was some time in the early 80's that they caused a bit of a stir by introducing topless usherettes.
