Live a life without regrets and you have probably lived a very safe and maybe even dull life

I disagree, living without regrets does not mean it has been boring. Taking risks and decisions to do things can be very challenging especially if those changes means that your entire life up to that point changes. It could be that you have been abused and you decide "no more" and it is fraught with danger or it could be that you decide not to put up with a bad situation and have give up everything and start over from scratch.

That depends upon how the person sees it, they might have no regrets about leaving and are now looking forward
