How lazy are Australians at work?

Some employers are very picky despite Aussies applying. Years ago I wasn’t accepted for a job because they said I was too educated. Truth be told they probably wanted someone they could take advantage of.

Definitely noticed international students worked harder and were more reliable than locals at my last job. Might have something to do with the crazy fees unis charge them.
