I was born and raised in Zaire ( now known as DRC) I have never heard anyone say Democratic Republic of Congo means African Congo? So is there a European Congo? Australian Congo? American Congo? Perhaps your Geography stretches to Mandurah and finishes in Kuta Bali.

Why would someone in Africa refer to Congo as African Congo? Obviously that would be a term used by people with a perspective from another continent.
