Aussie Accent - Help needed ?

Hello and greetings to all the forum members. I often struggle to understand the Aussie Accent. Does anyone have any ideas about how, being born and brought up in India, I can easily understand this twist of accent? I am good at English but not the one followed in Australia. I have gone through a lot of youtube videos but they only teach me the common words used by the Australians . All sorts of help would be appreciated. Anyone there ?
😄👍

I have a better more exciting idea. Speak to MAK to travel to Australia and to knock off the Langtree's fee off a couple of the WLs and get a staff discount. Then have a few weeks under the sheets with them with only English allowed! Can't think of a better more exciting and stimulating way to learn a language!

I really do not know what would be Mrs Langtrees's reaction to this reply 😂

All the best Jo India.
Maybe you could help them with Indian sayings.
Namaskaram 🙏
Yes sure but over here in India as of now no one uses Namaskar so often anymore, we all have shifted to good mornings and good nights even at the traditional homes. Indians are now on a phase of completly including the best from Australia and the western world. Thank You so much for the Namaskar 🙏. I will surely pass it on to my mates here. Really loved it thank you @John Smithl

though we still sometimes join hands to greet the elders or while we pray we have taken up the custom of shaking hands or hugging each other like in western countries depending on the level of acquaintances in India Now.
Appreciate your namaskar and "Nomoshkar" in Bengali from us to you 🙏

no knocking off prices for family and staff. Family and staff pays more to keep the Langtrees standard high as we do believe the best things come with the best price😜 .. What say @Mrs Langtrees ?

Sex slang? Nookie, nooky, piece of ass, piece of tail, roll in the hay, screw, shag all mean sexual intercourse.

You could watch Aussie movies like - The Adventures of Barry McKenzie.
Splash the boots, strain the potatoes, point percy at the porcelain, unbutton the mutton - mean go to the toilet.

Or watch They're a Weird Mob

How to talk Australian - is it this one?

Thanks for sharing it will surely stop watching anymore of Bollywood films and start gearing up with Australian movies.😁

Yeah please share a link for that miniseries :)
Please understand that the mentioned movies and characters like les Paterson etc while funny to many of us are not
relevant in Aus 25. Parodies and satire at best ,migration and travel has created a different society.
Your neighbourly Vietnamese,Hazari,Chinese and Brit have no need or interest in a mythical modern swagman
or a swift trip to the wheatbelt. Their middle class values and hard work are a lesson for many Australians.
