It is the nature of the industry...........there will always be a phone number exchange and there will always be a seeing the client outside the establishment.
Loyalty comes with a price tag..........it is a give and take between the private business woman and the establishment. If girls are happy with their working environment they are less likely to meet clients privately.
However I do agree with Maryanne's 30-30-40 rule of thumb.
Guess an establishment has to be able to cover for those kind of losses.
I read a quote from Richard Branson the other day that went something like "Train your staff so well that they can work anywhere. Treat them so well that they won't want to go anywhere else."

Loyalty is, in most cases in life, a pretty simple and straightforward thing. In this environment, however, I think it is not as simple and straightforward as some of these posts would have us believe - or at least, maybe it is not as simple as it "should" be. From a behind the desk point of view, loyalty is inspired by treating your co-workers well, with dignity and respect and acknowledging the value of everybody's contribution. It's simple stuff: you always attract more bees with flowers than with vinegar. From the floor point of view, a happy team is a healthy team: where there is loyalty and teamwork between the girls and between the girls and reception, things will always run smoothly and a "code of ethics" will emerge as a result. From the point of view of clients, this, for me, is where things get more interesting. There are clients - we all know them - who are loyal to Langtrees. They come here time and time again and have done for years. They know what kind of service and experience to expect and that is what they want. There are other clients - we all know them too - who are loyal to one girl in particular. If she is working here at Langtrees, they will come to Langtrees to see her. If she is working privately, they will see her through that avenue. If she goes to work at another establishment, they will follow.

In short, I think this is a matter of Maths, not magic, or even of ethics. I think it is short-sighted to condemn a girl as unethical, or a previous client as robbing the establishment, if they choose to have sex (paid or unpaid) somewhere else other than Langtrees. As Maryanne said, we do not own the client's right to choose. This business, and any other like it, is only as strong as the girls who work the floor. Ethics are not something that someone can demand of someone else. A standard can be set, and people will either rise to meet it, or fall by the way.

Love the way you have with words, Kathy. Nobody could have worded it better.
