And as for me whinging, you might recall that I tried for quite a while in 2008 to have someone take me seriously that there was a problem with how slow the forum was for a lot of members, and was pretty much ignored and told I was stupid. When you actually found that there was a problem there was no apologies or acknowledgement. I was trying to be helpful and all I got was fobbed off. As to why the forum was so slow was because I didn't have the fucking money to host except on a shared server. Did you put your hand in your pocket no you whinged.
These are the facts........I own the forum, I pay for the forum and I did not have the funds to host and upgrade until I could use the forum as a marketing tool.
I encourage a friendly balanced atmosphere and until you returned a few days ago haven't had a whiner on board.
Now you can whine all you like, but the same rules as FREE advertisers, two positive posts for every advert, Corneus you will need to do 2 positive posts for every one you want to post attacks on me.
I will be counting and if the count does not even out we may need to part ways.

I've been away for a while because I was bored with it. I was part of the 296 record number of users in 2005, and I have contributed to the forum over the last five years entering competitions, taking part in the ill-fated debating board, posting photos, jokes etc and it was interesting and fun.
Now it is simply an extension of the Langtrees site with almost every post either a review of a W/L or an ad for one.
My post about the new competition might seem overly critical to you, but it is simply me telling you what I see as a deterioration in the quality of the forum. And it is factual...

I don't deny it; I haven't time or the inclination to check all your links either. I will have time to check the positive post count. (By the way the Harley was mentioned-not promised for the re launch of langtrees.com which I had to stall).
Yes I would also have got sick of the downtime, but to come back and start off bitching is not the sort of member the forum needs.
Yes it is an extension of langtrees.com I have never denied this. It has also been a very successful meeting place for WA members that put in a little effort. It has not worked for the Eastern Seaboard, which is why the layout has changed. The forum is masses of work, to keep going and without John Lou, Aaron, Lone Road & a few Presidential members it would not have survived.
The other moderators lost interest with no direction, for which I am to blame, but that is the past...why waste the time digging up old history...spend it positively if you like what you see in the changes join in politely, or move on is what I am thinking.
