The new laws are being debated today in parliament. The work we have been doing supports that they will get the vote before Christmas.
How do the punters feel about all escorting being illegal?
I would particularly like to hear from handicapped clients, as I believe if a escort occurs both parties will be charged.

Fudd: Does that mean their votes won't be counted or do they have a proxy vote?

....too early to tell, but it's the second reading (if they get to it) so there's still another reading, if the second reading is successful, and then there are another 3 readings in the Upper House after this/

....that's right...once elected, they dont get a chance to vote and there are no proxies.

They were consumed with new Iron Ore legislation and didn't get to this yesterday. It is further down the agenda for Wednesday and Thursday, so we shall just have to wait and see.

Fudd - a big Thank You for that direct link.
I had it on in the background and so was able
to follow parliament on and off during the afternoon.

LoL - you only need to check it every now and then.

I do still shudder at the thought, that these people are
running our state, some of their behaviour in parliament,
remind of the classroom clown :p

The unrepresentative swill in Parliament do what they want without any regard for facts. All done for short-term vote getting when the stories are misrepresented by the media.

JadeTV that is interesting. Based on past exposures, some of the most vocal pollies are those who use W/Ls or boys, and are trying to cover their tracks by their overzealousness, or guilt.

I'm afraid that this is one of these laws that pollies feel obligated to vote in... I just wish some of them would grow brain and stop these stupid laws

But there hasn't been any media interest in this - cause of the Carbon Tax, Obamas vist and the Nursing home fire in Sydney has drowned it out, soooooo, the pressure wouldn't be as fierce? ****fingers crossed**** ???
