I was writing a reply to Gabriel post and for some reason it jogged the memory of opening my first brothel in Perth.
It must have been 25 years ago, I bought two massage parlours one in East Perth and the other in South Perth from a lady called Nicole.
I called the small parlour The Executive Suite. It was a small 4 bedroom older style house, I installed a small shower in each room, hung fairy lights around the veranda, advertised in the paper, ready to make my fortune. I had at that time been operating a large escort agency in Midland and 181 in Kalgoorlie.
The first ten days, with my great telephone skills had not been able to convert the phone calls into guests knocking on the door. I was full of self doubt, how could I organise 50 escorts a night and not convert escort clients into inhouse clients.
After 10 days the ladies are getting a little restless as the income was not going to keep them with me much longer, I decided I had to change tactics.
I bought a coffee percolator, and told all the clients they had to come on down to say hello, as I was the best looking receptionist in Perth and made a great cup of coffee.
At this time I was a size 16-18 rather wide and dumpy. The door bell would ring and I would skip up the hallway, smile open the door and say...welcome to "the executive Suite" with the biggest smile I had. I would bat my eyelashes, and say I fibbed about the best looking receptionist, but come inside and try my coffee.
Most would come down to our tiny reception lounge, the ladies would hide in the small girls room, and I would make the coffee and tell the gentleman about the wonderful ladies I had hidden around the corner.
A few years later when i opened Langtrees it was the clients and relationships I established in that first 8 weeks of business that helped me turn Langtrees into the establishment it is today.
The Executive suite is still trading today as Sarah's one of the Asian parlours.
