Looking at places for new years eve, any suggestions out there for places with good food and entertainment packages?

One year I thought it would be awesome if I had my cock up a arse at the stroke of midnight so that it was in both years.
Young and dumb.
Ha ha.

I love being by the ocean. (More pics of Townsville) I am headed to Canberra on Thursday.

There are quite a few New Years Superstitions, so I thought I would share a couple with you. Please add more if you know any.

1.
If you're concerned about "sweeping" or "washing" away any luck coming your way, don't do any cleaning—including dishes and laundry. (I like this one, plus I did it all yesterday).

2.
You may want to rethink any fancy New Years Eve/Day food, lobster. Many cultures believe that eating lobsters before midnight is bad luck since they move backwards, therefore setting yourself up for a year of setbacks.

3.

Ring-shaped cakes and other rounded sweet treats bring a full circle of luck to the eater. In some traditions, a coin is baked inside to bring an extra serving of luck to the one who finds it.
