Yesterday was invested in just going to where ever and doing what ever pleased me. Among that was catching up with 3 or 4 friends, shopping, some random good deeds, and checking out toys I like in toy stores. Overall it was a nice day....

At one point I walked passed the front of a cinema and ended up watching Gravity in 3D.

The visually it was cool. I was actually flinching........ The suspense was great, and the storyline is original. I was especially taken by visual candy of the physics in space. And also...Sandra Bullock has still got it.


What I got for myself was an appreciation of a magnificent demonstration of human resilience. As unrealistic this fictional visual display was, I was very taken.

Looking at some of the shit the character was facing..........most of us have nothing to whinge about.

Worth seeing...check it out. Anyone else seen it?

Only when I feel like it yeah..... But yesterday a friend cooked me a big lunch beforehand. So I only did the fish A hole thing....lol

I almost never eat at the movies. I go after dinner and don't need any more fuel to sit on my bum. Not a big fan of popcorn either but an occasional choc bomb hits the spot afterwards.

The best thing consumed in a theater is real and proper food smuggled in. A hip flask of single malt or cognac. And an electronic pipe.

I saw it last night in 3D, wow it was worth it for the 3D effects alone.

My favourite moment was when Sandra Bullock shed a tear in zero gravity and the tear drop float away and appeared to float right across the theatre hovering above, I felt like I could almost reach out and touch it! and in the centre of the tear drop you could see her reflection. It was amazing! While I thought there were a few lost opportunities for character development between the two leads, it's definitely worth seeing especially in 3D.

At least you saved the ca$h on no extra ticket, popcorn, choc bomb, drink and maltesers etc...

Last time I took a girl to the flicks it was all that plus the movie was s##t... Plus no action later.

I saw it recently too. The 3D was great for the visuals and the awe inspiring 'nothing' of space.

But...

Couldn't hold my disbelief from chundering on the characters. The story I think was an exciting premise in itself but the characters were so thin it left me wanting someone else to have had a crack at writing it. For starters, Sandra's character, Ryan, wouldn't have made it past the psyche evaluation surely. Or maybe I just can't process Miss Congeniality in space.

Clooney - too much... Clooney. His character would have been better served by casting a non A-list. No pathos evident in the scenes that really needed it. The only things I felt empathy for were the space vessels.

Swap out Clooney, give Sandra something more intelligent to work with.

Star Wars 10/10
Alien 10/10
School girl butt sluts#4 10/10
Gravity 5.5/10

...but it'll need the big screen so delay at your peril.

I'm going to see it next week. I've heard nothing but good reviews for this movie, so I want to go check it out for myself to see what all the hype's about. Also I do love a good 3d movie! thanks for the review Yoda xxx I'll come back and post my thoughts on it.
