It all depends on how well two people get along at different stages of life, but in my opinion, friendship is preferable to love for the following reasons:
- While relationships have different circumstances, friendships are always there.
- With friends, you have lower expectations, whereas, with a lover, you have higher ones.
- While you try to make changes in your relationship, you always accept your friends as they are.
- Making a good buddy does not require matching caste, religion, or status, but selecting a partner does require matching millions of factors! If you and your friend are both equally crazy, then all you need to do is enjoy each other's company!
- To offend a friend is acceptable, but not your partner.
- In a relationship, it will be viewed as ignorance if you ignore your friend's calls or messages for a while because you are in a bad mood.
- Partners will judge; friends don't. With friends, you can be completely honest without worrying about being judged, but not with a spouse.
- You can tolerate being protected by your friends' parents, but you cannot tolerate being insulted by the parents of your sweetheart. Ego gets in the way.
- While meeting a buddy in your nightgown and pyjamas is cool, you should put on makeup before going on a date with your significant other.
- While in a friendship you can experiment and see what the world has to offer, in a partnership you must adhere to societal and family norms.
- You can tell your pals that you miss your ex, but your partner will murder you if they find out!
- Deep bonds and care are beneficial in friendships, but they can occasionally turn into possessiveness in relationships.
- With your buddies, you can be a complete idiot, but with your partner, you need to be mature.
- It's entirely acceptable if a friend forgets to wish you on your birthday; you can contact them and remind them to get you a gift. However, forgetting to wish your significant other is a serious offence.
- In a friendship, you can openly admit your flaws and help others recognise theirs, but in a romantic connection, it's not always the same!
- In a romantic relationship, you and your partner are the world's best people for one another, but in a friendship, you both recognise that you are flawed, so you both study the world, talk about your own shortcomings, and work to better one another.
