The article in the Truth of 16 Dec. 1928 decribes the girls arrival in WA (they call her 'Barbara') and very carefully don't say that she moved into a brothel. When she moves from one 'protector' to another there is a fight in Scarborough involving Don Wilkins (her new 'protector) and Ernest Henry John Rex is shot in the leg. Her boyfriend arrives from South Australia and enlists the aid of the Truth to find and rescue her. The article ends with a diatribe against white slavery. Photo of woman in question. The court case is reported 24 March 1929. For more info https://trove.nla.gov.au/work/11075950?q=subject:"Rex,+Ernest+Henry+John+--+Photographs."&c=picture&versionId=171876140
