Well, odds are the 16 and 20 yo will have their faces buried in their fancy phones, and the 60 yo would be a bit old for me (unless it's Mme Jacqueline), so I'd cosy up to the Rebel and quiz him about this guy Harvey Davison I hear they're always riding, the manufacturing and distribution of little pills, anti-bikie laws and such. I'm sure we wouldn't run out of conversation until one of us reached our stop.

Reply when I'm booking flights I try to predict which seat will be next to an attractive young woman and pick that seat. Success rate so far about 1 per 100 and then they are going to meet their bf anyway!

The grandmother might want to talk constantly so no. The bikie would be out as I wouldn't have anything in common with a guy like that plus he'd probably smell bad and I'd suggest a lavendar bath and a vegan diet, and he'd probably snot me. The 20yo probably wouldn't want to talk as she'd be texting her boyfriend but she'd be a quiet option. But I'd probably go for the 16 yo student as our maturity levels would be on par LOL! and we'd either just stare at our smart phones or talk computer games

I would just keep standing holding on to the handle on the rail because the 16 year old is most likely chewing gum and blowing bubbles which drives me mad........the 20 year old is most likely on the phone the whole time, listening to bad pop music over head phones so loud that I have to listen to it as well.........which drives me mad.........the 60 year old is about to fall asleep most likely snoring and ending up with her head on my shoulder and finally the bikie is not used to take the train so he is already taking over half of what would be my seat.
Sooooooo considering all options standing around is the most attractive one

Buses and trains are great, especially when the pretty young things are too engrossed in their i-toys to realise that their skirts are halfway up their bums and a dozen male eyes are devouring parts which should only be seen on the beach or in the bedroom.
