Funny you ask Sue, I made one the other weekend babysitting my aunt's children! Besides that it would have been many years since my last paper plane haha!
Last week I made a standard paper plane and also another which resembled a fighter jet. Which do you think flew further?

Last November off the roof of a penthouse suite in Darwin, yes there were strippers,, yes they had their boobs out, but the boys were engaging them in political debate...WTF. !!??....????........so paper aeroplanes it was.
Probably a lot of times but by far the most memorable was throwing a paper plane from the back of the class in grade 4 and the leaning over great ass of my teacher Ms Hill, whose skirts were tighter that drums, I got dobbed in and got caned, but got to see the look on teachers face of surprise that a grade 4 could have a hard on for her.......
