I know it must be 15 yrs ago now maybe more But I have a standing bet with a friend on ANZAC Day footy match
One year we got 5 numbers I took the ticket over to the neighours to show him

Monday I collected about $1400 for the pair of us and dropped of his share went home In the arvo we decided to share a carton or part thereof

I walked in to his house And first thing he said was " What happened H2 This morning you looked like the cat that ate the cream Now you look like the cream has curdled" And it described things well As I was leaving with the carton I tripped over a cord pulling a TV from its temporary perch on the kitchen table Smashing it beyond repair

The local RSL club a few years ago had been running some weekly $10,000 members draws. I hardly ever went there but if you were there and they pulled your number out, you had 10min to claim it.

Well a few people from work said they were all going down for the members draw and was i coming and I said, no I don't really like those places, I'll stay home. So about an hour later I get a frantic phone call asking if Im' there because my name had been pulled out. They said, you gotta get here in 10 min for $10,000. I drove like a crazy person and arrived about 2 minutes late as they were calling another person's name. So close I was to $10,000
