What do you do when your bored late at night, how do you get rid of it?

No swipe at the OP, but it amazes me how with modern technology which does the thinking and entertaining of people, society complains they are bored. Here are some suggestions:
1. Read a book
2. Handwrite - yes handwrite - a letter to a friend, parent, nephew you haven't communicated with for a long time.
3. Get a hobby - you get satisfaction from something - even planting a seed and the excitement of watching the plant bear fruit due to your nurturing.
4. Katelyn, I presume you're bored late at night working at Langtrees or something similiar - get an ipad or a notebook, don't aimlessly surf the net watching crap but find out things you never knew - why do bookies at races use white bags? that's right it may be trivia but it's interesting to know.

I normally read books and watch science doco's but I finished reading and watching what I have. As for a hobby thats camping but you cant really do that all the time during the week with a job .... which is a bit of a bummer.

You can start reading about he latest conflict between Israel and whomever, then by clicking on the interesting links you can end up learning about World War II, then planes, then dinosaurs, then plants, philosophy... Anything.
All by just following links in Wiki entries.
After a few hours you'll wonder how you ended up reading about photosynthesis when you first started reading about a war... But it's fun and you learn heaps of stuff.

Camping is good but doing something physically constructive is better - whether it's handwriting a letter, poem or doing a jigsaw. And you can do it at work or in your living room.

Very true. I enjoy doing puzzles that I can wrap my brain around
I have a few apps on my iphone that I use quite often if that comes under the constructive catagory?

I dont enjoy writing poems etc... i enjoy number puzzles
that make my brain tick. But camping and fishing and building fires is so much more constructive than poems

Walking around restlessly in my flat until I finally decide what to do next and this can vary from shopping in Freo.......to reading a book......to check out the new posts on the forum..........to cleaning up the backyard to getting out the bike.......cleaning the super bug (the colour is great but you can see every dust particle on it)......well, I have to face it....no reason to be bored. There is always something to do
