Unhealthy relationships can show in a number of ways, but the following are some common issues:
1> Lack of trust and honesty − Any healthy relationship is built on trust and honesty. In toxic relationships, there may
be a loss of confidence as a result of dishonesty, betrayal, or transparency.
2> Poor communication − There may be a need for more effective communication or a willingness to listen to and understand
each other in problematic relationships.
3> Emotional or physical abuse − In unhealthy relationships, there may be emotional or physical abuse, which can include
verbal abuse, threats, or physical violence.
4> Dependence and co-dependency − In unhealthy relationships, one or both sides may be too dependent on the other and
lack self-sufficiency.
