When people have a "Baby On Board" plaque visible in the back window of their car (I assume so people are expected to be safer drivers around them) then proceed to not use their indicators/speed/drive recklessly in general. WTF!?

Actually- it's meant to be for "if" there is an accident, so that it can give the response team an indication that their might be a baby/child in the car. There have been cases where car accidents have happened and child victims have been thrown during impact and have not been found by the rescue services and left to die. It also helps the response teams plan on how to get possible victims out of the car if they know they should be checking for babies and children first and take proper risk assessment in carrying out their job.

Ah, good to know! I have been wondering about that for a while. Still stumped and WTF as to why people with kids in the car would endanger them by driving recklessly though! At least the actual reason for the plaque removes a tiny degree of the hypocrisy I had assumed :p

the seating laws are clear only unrestrained people get thrown clear
I understand mum and dad didnt give a second thought about us in the back of the station wagon. different times - theres no way in hell they would do that with the grandkids
