Is this guy making money by simply stealing other peoples music and is it right or wrong for him to do so??

I`ve listened to him for a long time and actually enjoy some of his work.

The concept of "stealing music" is fairly new, mostly brought on by recordlabels and their business model.

What Weird Al does is satire, and because he does his own words and videos, he can get away with it. I don't know if he pays royalties to the original performer, but I think he does. I believe he also asks permission, as he has been wanting to do some Prince songs for a while but Prince says no.

I know I don't have that talent. I've triedmaking my own lyrics to existing songs and it just comes out clunky and stilted, so my hat's off to him.
