  • The entire thing is sad and reeks of dismay. My heart goes out to to all involved especially the recovering victim, the family of the son lost, the policemen involved and finally to all the Muslim community
  • The Muslim community and his parents tried to warn police that they feared this guy was going off the rails.
  • I suspect (I'm no expert) the young student's revelation to the cops and community was a last desperate plea for help in his confused mind.
  • The leader of the Muslim community moved me almost to tears during my morning coffee at my local and I'll reproduce it here. I didn't dare weep openly for fear of attracting attention.
This is what the Perth Muslim leader stated;
